Yes there is more than one sport in the Olympics, but being a Canadian hockey guy I have but one focus. So I call on my fellow Canadian posters to give their opinions on the Canadian Roster... as well as any other poster from other nations to give their opinions on their country's squad or ours. Thank you.

Okay I call on my fellow Canadian posters to make their opinions known:

Miller is probably the #1 contender for the Vezina. That Buffalo team is awful and he's been great. Plus he's got a track record in international play. He was amazing in Vancouver 2010.

I hate hot goalies so much - because Canada never has a hot goalie and always gets owned by hot goalies, while outshooting and outplaying the other team.

I am still haunted by Richter in the 1996 Canada Cup. I wish that Lemieux had played in that tourney.

Apparently, the Russians are hoping for a Canada-Russia gold medal match. I've read that the '72 Summit Series has been playing on Russian TV all week. Gotta love the two Super-Powers of hockey.

Russia is an odd team. They seemed to play with structure today, although I have a feeling that they might abandon it and just play like Russia of old and not use their teammates.

They had a stretch today in the third period that it looked like the puck was glued to their sticks. Nichushkin was a friggen wizard. To think he's only 19. 6"4 and skates like a friggen horse on a track.

Gotta feel a bit sad for Jennifer Jones. Her undefeated gold medal run in curling is completely overshadowed by the hockey win. In all fairness though, with all due respect to our other athletes, it's only fair to say that the two hockey medals matter more to Canada than all the other events combined.

The Yanks will have an opportunity to crush the soul of an entire country tomorrow in the men's semi-final.

I hope that Price will put on the best performance of his career, and that the offence will finally break out (although unlikely against Mr. Quick).

Worst case scenario, keep letting Doughty and Weber take shots from the point. It's worked thus far. :p

Found it interesting that at one moment during the Women's Gold Medal Game, I noticed that the Canadians had on the ice a Oulette, a Rougeau, and a Duggan, and I don't mean these ones:

Duggan was the American captain

Canada dominated that first period. I feel like it should of been 2-0.

Solid performance by team Canada. Price deserved that shutout, his first true test, and he was top notch.

What a difference in this game compared to the collapsing 5-man defensive games that we've seen from the European countries.

I won't be getting much sleep on Saturday night, as it will be an early morning.

Finland took a complete heaping dump on the US during the bronze medal game. It looked as though Team USA didn't really care about winning a medal at all if it wasn't gold.

The deadliest matchup in Olympic Hockey is a Bronze Medal game vs Finland. I don't think that any other team can match the excitement that Finland has for the Bronze game, they always play their hearts out for the Bronze, and always win it.

Good thing I'm sleeping through the game, because I never have confidence in Team Canada if they don't win international hockey games the way I want them to win.

There's a show on TV. It's called 'Jeopardy!'

In the show, anyone wo leads, AND has more than 50% of the 2nd place player's total, heading into Final Jeopardy!, is considered to have a 'lock game'.

I would only watch an international game of hockey, with CAN in it, if they were up 15-0 after the 2nd Period.

I not only want CAN to win, I also want to see them win in 'lock game' scenarios, where their opposition cannot catch up.

Where their opposition were beaten like dogs.

It might be boring, and cause low TV ratings, but THAT would show that CAN would be doing something right.

So STD, up yours.

Anyone who watched these games and says the NHL needs bigger ice deserves a punch in the head. That Sweden vs Finland game was awful, same as 95% of the games. Too many dead zones on that big of a surface.

USA felt sorry for America's Hat and Finland (like that's a real country) so we lost on purpose as we win the most medals and hit the most golds. So who really cares. USA #1.

A] JimmyMess, it is an edited picture of both Canada's womens and mens Olympic hockey teams celebrating the unified Olympic hockey title that we won. Women at left, men at right. If you are here in Canada, CTV did a pic like that for their 'Hockey Gold 2010' DVD and BluRay boxsets. The image is inlaid behind the plastic that holds the 5 discs in those sets.

B] Shisen Kopf, both of Canada's Olympic hockey teams went undefeated in Sochi. Canada's men won all 3 of their Group B games, winning 2 in regulation, and beating FIN in OT at the end of the round robin. CAN would then beat Latvia 2-1 in the quarterfinal, the USA 1-0 in the semi, and Sweden 3-0 in the mens gold medal game, going 6-0, a perfect run.

The women went 3-0 in Group A in their end of the tournament, and followed that up with a 3-1 win over Switzerland in the semi-final, and then beat the USA 3-2 in OT in the womens gold medal game, going 5-0, another perfect run.

All told, CAN went a combined 11-0 in Olympic hockey in Sochi. Undefeated. Undisputed.

Get it all now, guys? =P

Ahh okay, I didn't get the Photoshop reference. I fully understand that Canada is the best fucking country in the world at playing the sport of hockey, because fuck yeah Canada.
