I was having a discussion with a mate the other day, that sparked an interesting debate.

The premise is that you travel back in time as far as you like and pick up a superstar in the Gorilla position about to walk through the curtain for his debut appearance.

You bring that superstar back to the present day and have him debut now and have his/her career alongside the superstars of today.

After much discussion about potential matches and feuds, promo exchanges and the like we unanimously decided on Kurt Angle.

Mainly because to see his matches with the current crop of Guys. Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, amongst others would be dreamlike.

Angles mic work was fantastic and promo duels with Punk, Wyatt and Ambrose would all be insane.

He gets the best out of big guys, So Reigns, Sheamus, et all would have outstanding matches. week in week out.

He has the ability to play a face and a heel equally well so would provide a great stooge for any foe. and he really knows how to get his opponent over.

For us he was the choice due to his 'all-round ability'

Who would you go for and why?

Mike Awesome, if only to give him a proper run in the big leagues.

Definitely Angle, but The Hitman would be titties today too.

I've hated the king gimmick on everyone besides Randy Savage.

And I guess King Booker was sort of OK in a silly way.

Loved Awesome, huge waste outside of ECW.

Bigelow or Vader would be golden too, love to see them against Brock.

I've would like see Stone Cold Steve Austin have a feud with Christopher Daniels (TNA). It would be oddball booking but still interesting to see. Daniel's tatoos make him one easy trash talk target.

I've always wanted to see Christopher Daniels vs. Kurt Angle, not going to lie. I don't know if it's because they're both bald, but I just always wanted to see them feud.

Mr Perfect. With Sandow dressed exactly as The Genius and reading the poem, and coming down to the ring to Theme of Exodus.

You know, if ryback hadn't existed, I would say Goldberg. It would be interesting to put that wcw logic booking into the wwe environment and give him that push and see if it worked now and today.

A program between heel Randy Savage and Daniel Bryan would be amazing.

I think jake Roberts would have some interesting feuds as well.

Ravishing Rick Rude.

This is a great answer as well. Complete with picking random chicks to kiss.

I wouldn't mind a heel Doink right about now.
