http://deadspin.com/grand-jury-to-investigate-1983-death-of-jimmy-snukas-g-1511023624

basically the investigation into the seriously sketchy death of his ladyfriend back in 83 is being re investigated by a grand jury and other law enforcement types who are like "Hey, dude in the tiger tights over there probably killed this chick. Also he's not wearing shoes."

Discuss.

I could edit the poll option if I wanted to (no I couldn't) but I'm not going to because it shows the RAW EMOTION that goes into the pursuit of justice.

How long before WWE starts just referring to their lady rassler as 'Tamina'

So are they going to edit Jimmy Snuka out of WWE history?

Talked about this 5 months ago. Once again: BadNewsGertner is the pulse.

Btw Vince McMahon could be in HUGE shit for this.

I think I've mentioned this hypocrisy at least once.

But I'm CERTAIN Vince knew. There had to be a reason why Snuka, who could have been his second biggest star at that point, never held the top title.

Part of the reason involves Irv Muchnick. He wrote a book about the case.

Vince went into the police station with his breifcase. He came out and the case just kinda went away. Don Muraco talked about this in an interview and became very uncomfortable. Dr. D David Schultz says he knows Snuka did it.

Man those Father -daughter visits are about to get awkward as hell....and take place behind a plate glass window via telephone.

Okay sure I'll weigh in here...

I'm quite sure Jimmy Snuka did the killing here... The proof is in the evidence

Jimmy Snuka is burying Daniel Bryan too

He kicked the shit out of her in a hotel room. Was supposed to pay in a civil case but couldn't because he was broke. This could potentially land Vince McMahon behind bars.

whats the statute of limitations on a murder 31 years ago?

TNA is probably desperate to sign Snuka right now as part of their 'new direction'.

Snuka and Argentino were the only two in the hotel room that night, records say. Snuka was later named a "person of interest" by the Whitehall Township Police Department, but no criminal charges were filed. In 1985, the Argentino family won a $500,000 wrongful death lawsuit against Snuka. Claiming he was broke and couldn't afford a legal defense, Snuka never paid.

The local police investigation effectively went cold on June 1, 1983 after a follow-up interview with Snuka that was ordered by Lehigh Valley authorities and attended by WWF mogul Vince McMahon. It is still open to this day.

Five months after Argentino was buried, Snuka famously soared from the top of a 15-foot steel cage and plastered "Magnificent" Don Muraco to the wrestling mat. He would go on to a Hall of Fame career that spanned five decades.

Poor Mick Foley is going to be heart broken.

You say that like it's not possible for murderers to leap majestically off the top of a steel cage.

Supreme Olajuwon
01-29-2014, 11:23 AM
Which is ridiculous because Chris Benoit did it like 47 times.

Supreme Olajuwon
01-29-2014, 11:24 AM
Which probably caused the brain injury that led him to be a murderer.

It's this whole crazy thing.

I dont think Vince would buy a guy who wasnt YET a big star out of murder charges. Im sure he was involved as a counsel to Snuka for legal reasons but no way did he buy off cops.

You mean, a guy who had already had a feud with Bob Backlund over the WWF title that included a missed Superfly Splash off the top of a cage?

Are you fucking serious? "Well pal, I'm pretty sure you murdered your girlfriend there, so you're not going to win the title or anything... don't worry though, I'll still pay you a shit-ton of money and push you as one of my top guys."

Theo Dious

I also clearly have never been totally up to speed on this case. I always thought it was known that he killed her but that it was supposedly an accident of some kind.

Bad News Gertner
01-29-2014, 11:21 PM
Snuka didn't hold the title because he didn't need the title. Vince Sr was also fixated on Backlund being champ. Vince knew and I'm willing to bet my life saving that this is the just the start of a story that will become massive. Vince could go to jail for this, and it's not a stretch. From following the story for a while this looks like Vince made this go away either by a payout or some other shady thing. There's no way that the injuries she suffered was an accident.

Argentino stole Snuka's stash, he beat her up, and she died from excessive bleeding exacerbating her injuries. Snuka is guilty of womanslaughter but not murder.

the art of the main stream media, with current low fan attendance numbers, this could easily put WWE back in the public eye. obviously in a negative way but there is no such thing as "bad press".

Punk leaving has 8 pages.

Jimmy Snuka murdering someone, Vince covering it up, and both of them now possibly facing prison hasn't even got 2.

what

CM Punk is SUPER SRS FUCKING BUSINESS, where (alleged)* girlfriend murder is just an excuse for off-color humor and Benoit references. Sometimes at the same time. I'm more surprised nobody brought up Liz/Luger in this thread than what you pointed out, and I realize how sad that is.

*In spite of the court of public opinion over a couple of decades, he hasn't been convicted.
