View Full Version : Most Hours Spent On A Game
Or basically what game have you played the most?
For me it's probably back in the day when I was playing Infantry games on The Station owned by Sony or City of Heroes but Steam has a feature that states how many hours you've played each game and according to that it's the Killing Floor with 833 hours. That's about 34 days.

Fallout Series - at the very least 30-40 hours on each

Fire Pro Wrestling is easily the winner for me. Modded my PS2 and imported it when it came out in 2005, and have been playing it regularly ever since.
Super Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Skyrim have all had massive chunks of time given to them.
Megaman 2 isn't a long game, but I've beaten it around 764296429652 times so I guess add that to the list.

World of Warcraft easily. Civilization for single player games. Age of Empires 1 ate a lot of my time too.

I would just say I'd be very surprised if it wasn't The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Easily 300+ hours on it.

376 hours on Star Trek Online. Don't know how much Star Wars the Old Republic is not sure where to check for non-steam games. Would be a similar total maybe a bit more.

When it came out I spent 32 hour straight playing Final Fantasy III. But the game I have spent the most time on is Chrono Trigger ,between the SNES and DS versions I have months of play time in that game.

I've spent countless hours (long before Steam came out and logged said hours) playing various SimCity titles and Diablo 2. Tons of other guys.
Nothing will ever top the timesink that WoW was though. I remember back on my first account, around 2006 or so my /played (time spent logged into the game on that character) was over 300 days, meaning I'd spent pretty much a solid year out of 3 years of my real life in the game. That's when I sold my account because it was a real eye opener. Of course, I probably put in an equal amount of time since then because willpower what's that?

Anywhere from 4-6 months /played time in Asheron's Call years ago. Played for a few years.
Now? I'd guess I've put roughly 250+ hours into Dark Souls now if I were to go through all my characters and total up their time.

I was not as bad as that but I put over a year onto the game myself. Was not until 9 months ago I was able to get away from it and stop thinking about it. It REALLY helped the new expansion (it may be out now?) seemed like a big patch because it was not adding in new classes/races. At least from the little I seen. Just new content.

they added a new race and a new class for pandaria, are you thinking of cataclysm (two expansions ago)? i think you might be, because the next expansion is also definitely more than just a "big patch".
all of which is to say - like rdd, this, too, will forever be the game that i poured the most time into, because there is just no time in my life that i will ever have the disposable time/income to play a single game like i did wow, a game that i have literally spent more than a year of my life, in total hours, playing.
i still play it casually, so that figure will always stay ahead of any other game, but even if i never touched it again, i don't think i'd be able to replicate that kind of dedication to a single game.

MMO wise it's WoW for sure, non-mmo it's between Tyrian2k for dos/dosbox, Dragon Ball Z: Chou Saiya Densetsu(Legend of the Super Saiyan) for snes, and No Mercy.

Mists was okay, I think I've spent more time collecting/battling the Battle Pets than any singular other event in WoW over the past 4 years. Account currently frozen but the few months I did play Mists I quite enjoyed it.
That being said, I think WoD may be the first expansion I actually skip. Really not hyped for it at all tbh

I was talking about the upcoming expansion. It may have changed into something more because I only really read about it when it was first announced.
This will also be my first time skipping the expansion.

Diablo 2/LoD
Between the core game and expansion, I've easily logged 73 million years of real world time into those games.
