whether in the ring or out, list creative control bullshit, lame ass movies or anyone of his 4 wrestling moves that were absolute dogshit

Launch the WWF into the giant it is today, become the most recognizable star in wrestling history, the reason why you are watching Wrestlemania today, took WCW into height that it had never been, still get pops louder than the entire roster, had the greatest match ever with The Rock, become a pop culture icon.

Yup he sucks.

I'm on YouTube and Twitter too. That's easy.

Let me put it this way...

Did you see that Radio Shack commercial where they say that the 80's called and they want their store back? Remember all of the 80's characters in that commercial (Hogan himself included)? Those were all pop culture icons.

If a similar commercial is made in 20 years, do you think Zack Ryder will be in it? I'm guessing not. Hogan actually might be again, though. Dude's a star. It's undeniable.

Ol Dirty Dastard

Hogan is best when not over exposed. His act wears thin when constantly "out there" but if he's kept as a special attraction there's few anywhere close to his level.

Give credit where credit is due, Hulk Hogan saved Wrestlemania 9 by leg dropping the shit out of Yokozuna.

Hogan led the greatest stable to change the game, the nWo.

I'm sorry he didn't have the workrate of a Chris Benoit or Rey Mysterio

When you are as big as Hogan's aura is, people are going to hate. I understand that.

He is human, I don't agree much with how he carries himself off camera, but I will always cherish the moments when I was a kid rooting for him in character.

NormanSmiley
02-22-2014, 03:18 PM
All you hulkamaniacs please understand I am not saying hogan is not a star. I do not underestimate that he is a draw.

He couldn't get cleared to wrestle but instead he will find a backup way to hog some spotlight

And no its not if it's good its not him and him it's bad, anybody who would have made santa with muscles couldn't have saved it

Hogan is such an egomaniac that it makes his rhetoric get old anytime he comes back as opposed to other top former stars like austin, rock etc

02-22-2014, 03:25 PM
Hogan is hardly free from sin, but I think the good he's done for the business far outweighs the bad. Yes, it sucks that he didn't put over Bret, but Bret ended up being fine anyway. Same with Undertaker and Sting; people remember them winning their respective belts from Hogan way more than Hogan winning it right back. Same with Austin and company getting shoved out of WCW to make room for Hogan's buddies; they went to greener pastures in WWF and became way bigger stars as a result. Not saying that was Hogan's intention, but the people who were going to make it made it one way or another, with the exception of maybe Vader, and there's only so far a guy can go wth a Star Wars character's name.

Compared to what Hogan did in terms of defining professional wrestling to the masses-- and to this day, only Austin and the Rock come close on terms of being synonymous with wrestling like him-- and a few enemies made along the way doesn't seem that bad. That doesn't excuse his shenanigans, but it does make up for them IMO.

WWF in the 80's
nWo in the late 90's
Return run in WWE w/Rock

This guy spans over 3 decades, he is the most known wrestler in the world, and if it wasn't for him the wrestling business would not be what it is today. Show some respect to the Legend.

Also, "He's the reason you're watching WrestleMania" is seriously not even an exaggeration. Even if you were more a fan of someone like Savage at the time, Savage would not have made WrestleMania what it became. It was Hogan.
