* Batista opens SmackDown. He cuts a promo and says he will beat everyone. Dolph Ziggler comes out and challenges Batista. Batista laughs and says "come at me bro". Ziggler dropkicks Batista and rolls out of the ring.


1 - Jack Swagger and Cesaro defeated Mark Henry and Big E when Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on Henry.


* Backstage segment with Alberto Del Rio and Vickie Guerrero. Del Rio wants the night off. Sheamus comes in and challenges him to a match.


* Alexander Rusev and Lana come out on the stage for a live promo.


2 - Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio by disqualification when Christian ran down and attacked Sheamus. Christian layed big whitey out with a Killswitch. Del Rio and Christian then beat down Sheamus some more.


3 - Batista defeated Dolph Ziggler in a squash match.

* The Wyatt Family came out to cut a promo but The Shield interrupted them. Triple H interrupts everyone and announces a six-man match between the two teams on RAW.


4 - AJ Lee defeated Cameron with the Divas Title on the line. The referee ejected Tamina Snuka from ringside before the match.


* Brock Lesnar will confront The Undertaker on RAW.


5 - Daniel Bryan and The Usos defeated Kane and The New Age Outlaws. Bryan hit the running knee on Kane to score the pinfall.

Henry has to be the biggest guy Cesaro has hit the Neutralizer on.

– Batista officially turned heel at Tuesday’s night’s WWE Main Event SmackDown TV tapings. At the start of the WWE SmackDown TV taping for Friday night, Batista came out to mixed boos and cheers. He cut a promo and started off by saying “I love this business and company.” He said he did not come back to be liked. A huge C.M. Punk chant broke out. He said you don’t have to support him, but you gotta deal with it. He said it’s a fact he can destroy anyone they put in front of him. A small Daniel Bryan chant started and died quickly. Batista asked what the hell happened to this business, the real men, the attitude. A huge YES! chant broke out. He said if the fans honestly think their heroes are as good as him they need to get out of their fantasy world and to get out of his. He basically told everyone to shutup and that Daniel Bryan would never be as good as he is. He said he would destroy each of our heroes on his way to WrestleMania where he will become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. We’d all have to “deal with it.” Out came Dolph Ziggler. A “Let’s Go Ziggler” chant broke out. Ziggler started out by saying, “You don’t tell these people who to cheer for” and that they cheer for who they want. He said Batista is a dinosaur and sooner or later they become extinct. The crowd popped huge for that. Ziggler said he wants a match with Batista tonight. Batista said he wanted it he would get it. Ziggler dropkicked him and walked away…and the match took place later on the show. Batista wound up beating Ziggler.

So... Orton face turn coming?

I have no idea what the fuck is going on right now and I'm not sure WWE does either.

So... Orton face turn coming?

I have no idea what the fuck is going on right now and I'm not sure WWE does either.

If I had to guess, its either just the WWE/Batista venting against the fans for trying to ruin their plans or teasing the possibility of a triple threat occurring.

Its more obvious that they realize that Bats wont get any face pops so he had to go heel.

And since Orton is the real deal main event he will go face as be replaced by Bats as the Corporate Heel.

Seeing as HHH and Stephanie have been busting his shit for months, this is FAR more likely that any "obvious" Bryan ideas that are anything but.

God I hope not! Those tag matches are usually awful. Give 'em a Money in the Bank ladder match. Adds more spectacle to 'Mania, and at least gives them a meaningful match. As opposed to the default "too many part-timers taking our spots so we get a crappy tag match where everyone hits their finisher and the match is done" match.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Daniel Bryan will get inserted into the main-event somehow.

I really don't see it happening at this point. They wouldn't have had Bryan say "Me vs. HHH is what everyone REALLY wants to see!"

That being said, if Orton vs Batista is locked in, they could really push Batista as the "lol Fuck you guys, Daniel Bryan couldn't lace my boots, he's a pussy. Deal with it!" detestable character that represents everything the smarks loathe to the point where they would actually root for Orton to win the match at WrestleMania. Have Orton break away from The Authority and have them back Batista and bring back badass anti-hero face champion Orton (BY HAVING HIM ACTUALLY BE A BADASS AND NOT LOSE ON A WEEKLY FUCKING BASIS). Have him keep getting one up on Batista (which the marks are gonna eat up as they grow to hate Batista and everything he stands for more and more with each realistic promo on how guys like Bryan aren't A+ players like him). That's really your only hope of getting the crowd invested in the outcome of the match.

Makes sense. Outside of a Money In The Bank what do guys like Ziggler, Christian, Sheamus, Del Rio, etc. do?

Kinda interested in what's happening with Cody/Goldust. They were a really hot team off the back of the stuff with The Authority (even if Dusty is still to get his job back!) who then dropped the belts and faded into obscurity. I think a feud between the two leading to Mania would have been great but I also think rushing it in 5 weeks would undermine how personal they could make it. A feud between the pair should be reminiscent of Bret/Owen and not lost in the shuffle of all these other break-ups (PTP, Real Americans, potentially The Shield).
