Will have a WWE Title around his waist within 12 months.

Is it because he's good? nope. He can wrestle, he's decent I GUESS...

But have you seen this guy? VKM is stroking his manhood to this dude's vignettes. I hope he can stay healthy, I hope he can actually work.
Basically I hope he is worth the immense push his physique will garner him.

What do you guys think about him?

Nah I don't expect him to be that big. These days people don't get pushed to the moon very quickly and he really has nothing special going for him

He will soon be renamed to.. Rusev

I like Rusev, but they seem to have made him more "generic" in preparation for his move up to the main roster.

He's not bad. Moves very well for a big guy. Had a fantastic match with Ziggler on NXT>

Kozlov with a female mouthpiece. I take a wait and see attitude. He has the physique that gets him in the door, but I'd rather see if they do anything with him semi-long term, or just think he'll connect with fans by osmosis simply due to his physique.

Yeah, that was his best match... also the one where they gave him the most unique style/look before toning it down to what it is now.

So you're saying Rusev will be main eventing Mania as the champ next year?

*Edit: I see A WWE title. Yeah i can see that.

did you mean the world heavyweight title or something smaller like tag, us, or ic?

I am thinking that he'll have an IC/US Strap in 5 or so months. I think he'll be in the ME shortly thereafter.

I totally see VKM vetoing everyone in the building and giving this guy a Title shot/victory within the year IF HE CAN STAY HEALTHY. I just hope that he can find a way to connect with the crowd in some way.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to see a bright future for the guy, I just don't think it's gonna happen. They did this with Ludvig Borga in the 90's, then Kozlov, Umaga, and now Rusev.

I'm wondering though, with the sudden alienation of Russia, just where they'll go with this. Hopefully it doesn't go the way of Muhammed Hassan.

He will be in a tag team with Brodus Clay within 6 months... They will job to a new team of Darren Young and Xavier Woods.

3mb needs a drummer of another nationality..

That could actually work. Just have Rusev be the no-nonsense bruiser for 3MB, never air-guitarring or anything, just kicking the fuck out of people and winning matches. Have the announcers play up that they don't understand why Rusev has joined up with such strange bedfellows as 3MB to add an air of mystique. I don't know where the payoff is, but that'd be a good start.

Lol so basically Tank Abbott with 3 Count.

Sort of, but Tank had a goofy personality. I'd play Rusev completely straight.

Slater and Mcintyre could have 'dirt' on him and be secretly forcing him to tow the line.. Adds to a character backstory too..

Rusex is a big guy, impressive movement and I really enjoyed him in NXT. I agree that I liked him more with the mawashi/ sumo thing with the stomping "ritual" before a match as opposed to him just being a foreigner with an interpreter

Personally speaking?

I think it would be funny if they made Rusev into a comedy character.

Like have Rusev dominate his matches in whatever way complements his strength, and then have him mysteriously metamorph into a retard during his matches which in effect, makes him do retarded things.

This constantly pisses off his manager and she scolds him backstage always.

The next time on RAW - the manager does her usual hype of Rusev, etc., and then when the match takes place, the same thing ensues.

I think that would actually get Rusev over more than anything.

Maybe for an IC/US title but probably not if those belts end up getting merged in the near future.

He's decent for a big man heel but also really generic now compared to his earlier NXT days. He'll get the usual big debut push but more because the WWE needed another "monster" heel quickly and not because he's next in line for a massive push.

He could be a decent big man, but I'm not really digging the foreign heel persona. It's been done and done and done and done, and if Cesaro couldn't make it work with his ring skills, then I'm not sure Rusev and Lana can make it work.

I'd rather see Rusev be brought in as a babyface. There's a heel beat-down on some babyface and Rusev's theme hits and he storms the ring and clears the bad guys out. He makes no allegiances and forms no partnerships, but he goes right after the people the crowd boos.

Lana is hot, but the WWE needs to make people care about her too if she is going to have value as a long-term manager for the company. Who is she? What are her motivations? I'd have her keep her outwardly cold persona, but she must truly believe that Rusev is the man to make a legacy with in WWE. She's a smart woman, and truly knows what's "best for business." There is room for a heel turn down the track when she finds someone who can make her more money than Rusev (ideally this would be in a title match, where she realizes tht she as a chance to join the champion as opposed to taking a risk with Rusev), or when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon want to get her on side.
