With both men eliminating themselves and Vince coming out and hurting his leg.

Vince injuring his legs, yes.

Cena and Batista both going over at the same time, I don't think so.

Batista was supposed to grab the ropes or something.

The ropes were suppose to be his friend?

lol. Botchista. I like it.

This thread reminds me of the botch/work of the 94 Rumble outcome.

have no idea for sure but I do think they shit the bed/it was botched. How awkwardly Batista goes over looks like he completely lost control/awareness of where he was and the momentum and Cena's weight take him over, the referees immediate reactions are to declare Batista the winner (well Doan and Robinson, Jimmy Korderas seems to not have a clue what to do) and then Jack Doan (the RAW ref) clearly reaches to his ear piece, appears to be told something then really clearly on camera tells the Smackdown refs to "raise his hand" (Cena) to create the brand ref going with the brand wrestler scenario (despite Smackdown ref Charles Robinson immediately declaring that Cena hit first/that Batista had won) And the whole time Big Dave and Cena just kind of stare at each other across the ring whilst having their hands raised with "oh fuck" looks on their faces

then Vince marches out and tears both of his quads simultaneously, which is shockingly impressive in a really painful way

If it was a botch, it shouldn't have been. Having Cena and Batista go out at the same time and seem like complete equals before they both go on to rule their respective brands was exactly what they should have done.

Although Cena was eliminated quite decisively once the match did restart. lol

Of course it was planned
Vince tearing both quads was his way of showing his dominance over Triple H, who has only torn one quad at a time.

Vince sitting in the ring with his hand on his hips trying to act all nonchalant and as though his plan all along was to storm down the ramp and then just sit there staring at everyone is one of the funniest moments in wrestling.

To those who think it wasn't planned, do you think they winged the whole "one guy throws another guy over the rop before its restarted" thing? Because that seemed to really play to the crowd when they took turns doing that.

I think it was totally done on purpose.
