They really shot their load this year then.

what's really that "controversial" about them to the mainstream audience, though? i doubt the majority know about brody's murder, etc. and jake and razor are a couple of feel-good stories with their recent progress.

ric flair has made some pretty strong anti gay statements before (orlando jordan), and he's a 2 time hall of famer

I hope they film all the backstage interactions, if only for the award handshakes and fake smiles.

I don't care what they say in public, there's no way Warrior and Hogan or even Warrior and Jake are that cool with each other.

Plus, with Scott Hall going in, it's pretty much a lock that Kevin Nash will be there and him and Warrior despise each other.

Not really anything we haven't seen in past HoF classes. Even the supposed coverup deal with Colon could have been applied to Tony Atlas in '06.

To be honest the only ones I even care about being inducted are Bearer and Lita anyway. Never liked Warrior, though I'll admit that he was before my time and I've only seen his stuff in old videos on youtube. Mr. T is one of my least favorite B-list celebrities ever so... Jake Roberts and Scott Hall are both feel good stories, but nothing special in my opinion. And I wouldn't even know who Carlos Colon was if not for Carlito, Primo and Epico.

Let's not confuse support / opposition for political causes with in-ring performance and creating a compelling character.

Despite all of their controversy outside the ring, they have served their purpose in the business and can all be considered 'legends' in the WWE.

They need to induct Tatanka next year

Crippla

I can see just about any former WWE superstar eventually getting into the hall of fame is it is 90% more about the publicity than its actual meaning to the business in my eyes.

Although I don't see Chris Benoit getting in there. That might be a little too controversial

Benoit should be in the HOF. The animal lovers HOF. He was nice enough to let the dogs out by the pool. Very considerate.

He just didn't wanna leave any witnesses!

Colon testified against brody, and apparently ran angles off the situation.

How dare you not like the guy who hacked World of Warcraft to allow for Night Elf Mohawks!

Meh, I don't know enough about the situation to care all that much. I know Atlas refused to testify, which given he was the only witness probably led to the guy that stabbed Brody getting away like he did. I'd say that's pretty equivalent to covering it up.

I did a thread a while ago wondering if someone would just shoot during the inductions......lots of possibilities.

Warrior is nuts
Pretty much everyone shit on Mr.T and hated him, especially Piper
I'm sure Nash or Hall will have something interesting to say.

Bruno, Foley, Backlund. Come on son.

They definitely all deserved it, I'll say that. Pretty sure half the WWE's current audience had no idea who Bruno and Backlund were though. Of course they're probably having the same problem this year. Most of the kiddies probably will only recognize Warrior, Hall and Roberts as "Those old guys from the videogames".

Meh to the controversy. I'm really looking forward to their speeches. Warrior, Jake, and Hall's to be precise.
Also, i'm guessing this is the youngest Hall Of Fame Class?

Never heard much bad about Paul Bearer. And lots of the local guys worked with him. He did lots for the Gulf Coast indy feds.

Doesn't seem that controversial of a class outside of possibly Colon.

Bearer being anti-Tatanka could be an issue only if Tatanka crashed the party demanding the streak match (assuming Taker is the presenter) as payback for that insult.

He was a massive dick to fans online at times.
