A friend of mine stumbled upon this petition, and it's going to clear 10,000 signatures within a day. A wrestling fan started it (or so it seems), but it proves a bigger point about Nancy Grace's uselessness.

I was going to put this in the thread already established for the debacle of Nancy Grace, but I felt it deserved its own thread. My contempt for her fatuous generalizations and spurious arguments as to the cause of death of James Hellwig (or, as she calls him, "Ultimate"), and the perceived pandemic of steroid and drug abuse is matched only by my concern that this woman has the ear of the public. If she's incapable of putting together a segment that approaches issues rationally and with the correct information on THIS situation, what is she doing to ongoing legal proceedings and other news headlines the idiots at CNN sic her on from day to day?

I signed the petition because my outrage as a wrestling fan compelled me to do so, but also because of my disdain for anyone who throws another shovelful of dirt onto what's left of journalistic integrity.

It's the straw that broke the camels back. If the last three months have taught us anything, it's the asshole-level, aggressive obstinacy of wrestling fans when they feel marginalized or attacked. I'm sure that it's signed by people who aren't wrestling fans who identify with her defiance in the face of common sense and her refusal to provide a forum for civilized discourse.

It's also a drop in the bucket for a larger issue that's better reserved for Discussion Forum over the utter uselessness of American news media (as well as others), but it's at least a start.

Yeah. I noticed that, too. Wouldn't it be a hoot if she was a Bluejay?

It worked in Pittsburgh.

I think there needs to be a petition to get CNN off the airwaves. Their organization is a huge pile of shit these days.

This is a waste of time. She's not going to be ousted for this. She's done far worse and hasn't gotten kicked off tv yet. She's scum but she gets attention and that is why they will keep her.

If that cretin Sylvia Browne could still get on TV after all of the bullshit she created, Nancy Grace isn't going anywhere. (Yes, she's dead now. And yes, fuck her.)

Can anyone really believe that CNN gives a shit about what a handful of wrestling fans think?

Online petitions are as worthless as used toilet paper.
