View Full Version : Triple H rumored to face ***** at WM31
Many in WWE don't see Sting vs The Undertaker happening, there are just too many question marks right now. If Sting is going to wrestle a last match the general feeling is that he will take on Triple H. Triple H is the other Attitude Era name that was prominent during Sting's peak in WCW, and he has shown succcess in facing other part-timers in feuds.
It is said that many in WWE also believe that HHH vs Sting would generate more fan interest, in particular with keeping WWE Network Subscribers.

If I didn't have THE NETWORK, that match would not make me buy it.

Now here is how you get me to pay up...
Sting shows up talking about how he is the ICON of WCW
HBK comes back with "Im the ICON....One More match".
Sting vs HBK in both of their final matches
HBK could still pull Sting to a great match.
HHH is just newer than that "era" to me
Better yet find a way to turn it into a tag match
Kane and the Undertaker against Sting and ???
Kane and Taker win and disappear into a cloud of smoke forever

while they may put on a decent match, i certainly wouldn't tune in for that.

I would tune into Sting vs Hogan over Sting vs HHH.
Don't get me wrong, I love HHH. But that is not the match I want to see. HBK would be the best option if Undertaker is a no-go.

HBK would be the only way to go if not Taker.
I used to enjoy HHH matches, but haven't in a while.

Sting/Undertaker is what I want to see, no interest in HHH but I am sure my opinion could be swayed with decent build-up.....

clearly Sting vs John Cena
*can't find the Photoshop of Cena looking like surfer sting in his early days when Cena did the "stinger" splash*

Not really interested although on paper the match probably would be a lot better than Sting vs Taker.
Rather Sting just gets placed in the 2015 HoF class if Taker can't wrestle.

<font color=goldenrod>Triple H can still go with the right motivation and the right opponent. See: WM 30.
And Sting will be in tip-top shape for a WrestleMania match.
I'm not a big Triple H fan by any means but I'm pretty sure 2 legends can find a way to put together something special in front of 70,000 people.</font>

This is definitely preferable to Sting vs Undertaker. Would watch Wrestlemania for Sting vs Triple H. Wouldn't watch it other than the intros a few days later if it were just Sting v Taker.

Stick Ric Flair's saggy tits into a referee shirt and you add a bit more drama. Even let him perform some KNIFE EDGE CHOPS.

Would prefer it be wrong to prefer Sting vs. Flair to all other options?

I like it.
If Sting only has one WWE match, he should not be jobbing. And if he faces Undertaker then he will be jobbing. There is no way they will let WCW's icon get a win over WWE's icon. Plus, any future Undertaker match could potentially also be his last, and he doesn't deserve to job on that one either.
However there is no reason they can't have Sting go over Hunter. Won't hurt HHH, will give Sting the grand scale final win he deserves.

Sting vs The Demon Kane!
Not interested in seeing Sting wrestle at all.
Well, unless he does that:

Sting wrestling Triple H would be a better feud and match. He should start showing up at the end of RAW to confront The Authority and Michael Cole would yell "Sting is here!! We're all out of time!!"

HBK would be awesome just because HBK can pull a ***** WrestleMania match out of any human being in the world.
HHH... not so much.

Even though I like the thought of a Taker/Sting match, storyline-wise I like the thought of a Triple H/Sting feud. Having him play mind games etc with The Authority would be sexy.
And the "Triple H's career is one giant Ric Flair cosplay" arguments earns another point.
Sting as the soldier of good trying to banish heel authority figures in wrestling forever is something I'd tolerate so long as we kill this angle that people keep going back to for the last 16 years.

Let's see how you feel once Triple H makes Sting a star at WrestleMania.
Sting wrestling Triple H would be a better feud and match. He should start showing up at the end of RAW to confront The Authority and Michael Cole would yell "Sting is here!! <s>We're all out of time!!</s>"
"Tune into the WWE Network right now!! Only $9.99!!!!"

I would much rather see Triple H/Sting than Undertaker/Sting.
Mostly because Triple H can still put on a match, and isn't so fragile that a small gust of wind will break his bones or give him a concussion.
Don't get me wrong, I love Undertaker, but he just can't do it anymore. He's far far too beat up and fragile to put on a good match these days. Whereas Triple H is still in perfect condition and can still put on an entertaining match when he has one. Also, the build-up would be much better, as Triple H is fantastic on the mic and he isn't limited to just facial expressions and talking "mystically" like Undertaker is.
As for Sting, I can't really talk about Sting as I've never really been a "Sting guy" or a "TNA guy" myself, so I don't really know if he still had "it" and could still put on great matches while he was in TNA.
I booked Sting vs. HHH in the first ever ARMCHAIR WARFARE. Had Sting play "mind games" with HHH, and used sort of a Seven Deadly Sins gimmick. So, I'd be down for it.

I was all for this a few years ago. I liked the idea of Triple H signing Sting to a WWE contract and booking himself in a match against him -- Icon vs. Icon, Sledgehammer vs. Baseball Bat -- with Ric Flair as the Special Guest Referee. I'm not as keen on it now, but I'm sure it can still work. I'd rather see it at a different PPV though, with Triple H and his Authority side facing Sting and his Renegade side.

Did Sting ever wrestle Terra Ryzing back in the day? Feel like they did. Somebody do some quick research on this.
Only interested in HHH vs. Sting if HHH wins with a Spinning Heel Kick.

Those 5 asterisks (stars) in the title had me worried they were thinking about having him go up against RVD...:shifty:

I figured this could happen and I think it could be good. But I wish it was built aroud Flair/Sting and Dolph Ziggler represented by Flair.
