Love this thread concept, and instrumental was WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY more badass. It's a scientific fact. Based on science. Scientifically. I'm not a scientist, though...can't break it down to molecules.

I think what it is, is...
...if someone was for real about to beat my ass, they'd never say "YOU'VE DONE IT NOW, YOU'VE GONE AND MADE A BIG MISTAKE"
You know?

The lyrical version was awful. It sounded like it was being sung by a monumentally stoned, over-the-hill biker who was pissed at his puppy for peeing in th house.

But Bad Asses are always kicking ass all the time
Instrumental, at least in here. Themes like My Time are equally badass with or without the lyrics.

I used to listen to the lyrical version almost every day at one point when WWE Anthology was first released.
I think the lyrical version works better, as it gives The Undertaker a more "main event" theme, whereas the instrumental just sound a bit like a "generic jobber" theme for the time.

I vote the lyrical by a hair over this version, which is a much better instrumental one than the one in the original post:

That one is a bit of a mess, in my opinion.

Instrumental version usually is better except for maybe You're going down for the Undertaker.
Adding a little bit is not only does the theme suck but he won a damn World title with the crappy song. So, it is fully embedded into the WWE Universe.

Lyrical sounds better to me.
But bad asses, always kicking asshole's ass.*
First thing that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

I know I'm late but imo the lyrical version was slightly better and just an fyi the instrumental version was called "Dead Man" which had actually had a better opening here's what it actually sounds like:

The actual instrumental XCaliber (and I assume Lock Jaw: it didn't work on my phone) posted. :y:
And a not about what VSG said about all versions of "My Time" being equally badass- that just isn't correct, sir. The best version of that song was done with kazoos! Kazoos rule!!!
