That sucks.

BBC specials won't be the same without him. I remember watching a scene in Planet Earth where it was an aerial view of wolves stalking some deer. A normal narrator would have just immediately gone into some boring explanation of what they're doing, but as the wolves are creeping up Attenborough just goes:

"Wolves."

Just one word. But his delivery is so awesome that it just adds a bunch of tension and drama to the scene, instead of some boring guy saying what anybody with eyeballs can see.

David McCallum is about the only one I can think of who's still around.

It kinda surprised me when I was checking out NCIS on imdb and found out that the patologist is David McCallum.
