in the 10k reply thread, someone mentioned how Bill Watts pushed his shitty son. My reply was "Name one promoter who had a kid that didn't." Shit, even Vince himself pushed Shane.

Beyond that, there's Greg Gagne, Dustin Rhodes, Mike Graham, the Von Erichs, the Harts, Jeff Jarrett, the Barrs.

Basically, mention a promoter's kid who got pushed, regardless of whether or not the really deserved it.

George Gulas who was Nick Gulas's son was atrocious.

He was perhaps the worst 2nd gen wrestler ever!

poor Bobby Eaton got stuck with him as a tag team early on.

I find it amusing that of those examples, Dustin Rhodes enjoyed far more success when someone other than his father was pushing him. I realize Bret enjoyed more success with Vince than with Stu, but the thing there is that Bret enjoyed the maximum success he could under his father, then enjoyed the max under Vince. Dustin was pushed comparably in WCW and WWF but "The Natural" was never going to be as promising as Goldust.

There's a major difference between everybody mentioned and Bill Watts. The company that he pushed his son in was not his own. He was not the owner of WCW and it wasn't his money on the line. The strike is valid.

Would be funny if a promoter buried their son Chavo_Style.

Would Garret Bischoff be the closets to that? They had a feud and he didn't really get over at all.
