NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WWE.com has learned Roman Reigns has been rushed to a Nashville, Tenn., hospital to undergo emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia. Reigns had been in Nashville to promote tomorrow's Night of Champions event. His recovery time will be evaluated by the local surgeon and WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann following today's operation.

I guess having that match on Monday before the PPV isn't such a big deal now.

Rollins cuts promo on Reigns at NOC enter Ambrose and we set up a Hell in a Cell Match next month.Best option for WWE right now.

And to think, if only the writers knew how to book an entire show, instead of just two programs.

Yeah. Ambrose is due back on Monday. Might as well make him a surprise replacement for sunday now.

If the writers knew how to book an entire show I might actually be upset that this match may not happen.

Being incompetent might actually work out for them for once.

Maybe this was all planned?

Maybe Reigns had to go to hospital for some reason, so they just had the Reigns/Rollins match on Raw as they knew Reigns wouldn't make the PPV.

So they're reporting this now, with the reason being the incarcerated hernia and then on Raw, as Ambrose is due to return anyway, we'll probably see Rollins gloat about not facing Reigns anymore, then Ambrose jumps out of the microphone, or wherever he's hiding, and attacks Rollins and Rollins retreats.

A new match is then made for the PPV. Rollins vs Ambrose.

Or maybe Reigns is legitimately hurt with an incarcerated hernia and the match has been scrapped.

I want to see that just for Rollins reaction once Ambrose theme hits or pops out of nowhere

This might actually be good for him. If he's going to be the man at WrestleMania he needs a bit of time off so the fans don't get sick of him. Should be back in no time.

Incarceration and Strangulation:
Sometimes, a loop of intestine becomes stuck in the hernia, a condition called incarceration. An incarcerated hernia can block (obstruct) the intestine. Rarely, the hernia traps the intestine so tightly that it cuts off the blood supply, a condition called strangulation. With strangulation, the trapped piece of intestine can develop gangrene in as few as 6 hours. With gangrene, the intestinal wall dies, usually causing rupture, which leads to peritonitis (inflammation and usually infection of the abdominal cavity), shock, and, if untreated, death.

sounds like he might have been lucky..had no idea what the hell it was

That's too bad for Reigns.

I know the obvious thing is to rush Ambrose back into the ring as a surprise opponent, or just have him come out and attack Rollins as he's gloating about his "victory" over Roman.

But I think this might be the perfect opportunity to bring Christian back. He's been ring-ready for awhile now, but creative just hasn't had anything for him. Have Rollins cut a promo and ask the ref to "count Reigns out" and give him his easy win, and then Christian's music hits and he comes out and talks a bit of trash before going straight into the match. Christian versus Rollins could be an awesome combination, Christian will make Seth look like a million bucks when he jobs out, and THEN Ambrose does his run in and continues his feud with Rollins.

No update on Roman Reigns past what is on the front page right now. Interestingly enough, there were two scripts for Night of Champions and one of them included Reigns not wrestling. I don't know what was in the script but I did think when they gave away the match for free on Raw Monday that it might have been because they had a booking idea for Sunday that involved the Reigns vs. Rollins match not happening (perhaps Dean Ambrose returned and destroyed Rollins before the match to make you think he was gone, and then later he'd make a surprise return for a briefcase cash-in). The whole writing crew now has to re-do three days worth of television in about the next 24 hours or so.
