Might have some big problems with money in the near future since their taping costs alone are really high at the moment. Same amount the WWE spends per episode and more than what TNA spends.

It looks like a pretty good roster. Johnny still looks good, Blue Demon Jr is a legend, Mill Muerte is Mesias in a mask, and there's a few other recognizable faces (Chavo, Ezekiel Jackson, Shawn Hernandez, and some popular luchadores). It looks like a cross between Lucha Libre USA and WSX, neither one of those lasted to long on tv but I'm all for televised competition in wrestling so let's see what happens.

Don't know how long of a lifespan this promotion will have, but the roster looks solid enough that it should be a fun show while it lasts.

I dunno, it lacks the real dealness of the Indy fed extrordinare that is Cassatt's Rassle fed featuring MG Hurst.

Was expecting K-Dogg to call the other wrestlers "pencil neck geeks"

So Katrina is Maxine, right?
Correct.
Anybody been keeping up with this?
I watched a few episodes over the last couple nights. They're doing some really interesting stuff. The backstage segments are filmed like movies, which is jarring at first. They're currently running a feud between Sexy Star (female luchadora) vs. Chavo Guerrero, which again is very unusual.
Some decent/recognisable names on the show; John Morrison, Zeke Jackson, Konnan, Chavo, Maxine, Ivelisse (from Tough Enough), Matt Striker, Vampiro.

I don't like the man on women stuff. Bad idea in the current mood with sports athletes.
The promos are cool. They are like those so bad they are good spanish soap operas telanovellas.
Striker is awesome when he isn't trying to use spanish words or pronouncing.

Reminds me a little of Wrestling Society X.
Without EVERYTHING exploding and shakycam, so it's automatically better.
But the comparison might also have to do with the involvment of Vampiro.
As for the "man on woman stuff" STD pointed out, it is kind of bad timing in the realm of current events, but as a whole, it's pretty awesome: not only in that it's not something you see everyday (the last two ladies Stateside that consistent intergender matchups even come to mind are Jazz and Chyna), but as something that sets them apart from elsewhere.
My only problem with the show is that it seems like there is TOO MUCH camera work. They have like 8 cameras that rotate every 3 seconds. It's almost like watching a security feed, and sometimes you get a crummy angle on what looks like it should be a sweet looking spot. Made more baffling by the fact that I'm pretty sure the show is canned. So, if it's not live, they could easily find the best footage and edit the show accordingly.
They're presenting the men vs. women stuff as a contest between athletes, rather than making it a soap opera style taboo subject. Sexy Star has been booked pretty evenly with the guys she's booked against.
