Chris Jericho has been a star in WWE for well over a decade. From his promos to his numerous world title reigns, Jericho is set to enter the WWE Hall of Fame whenever he feels that his time is up with the company.

Throughout his years in WWE, Y2J has complied many stories about the business and what goes on behind the scenes. In his book that is coming out, titled “Best In The World (At What I Have No Idea)” explains a story of a current Superstar that once looked to fight Vince McMahon.

In the book, Jericho claims that while on a plane Vince McMahon made a snide remark to Kofi Kingston saying, “Maybe one day you’ll get over,” a comment which visibly disturbed Kingston.

As Jericho and Kingston exited the plane, Jericho told Kofi that he had to go back and challenge him to a fight. At first Kingston seemed to think it was a rib, but Jericho knowing McMahon’s personality was totally serious about the situation.

Kingston took Jericho’s advice and got back on the plane and asked Vince McMahon if he had a problem with him. The two traded verbal barbs back and forth until Vince McMahon shot in for a double leg takedown out of nowhere and he and Kingston subsequently wrestled around. McMahon has been known to test his amateur wrestling against the likes of Kurt Angle, also repeatedly attempting to take him down on a flight. McMahon finally got up and laughed the situation off, with McMahon liking that Kingston stood up for himself.

Kofi Kingston is probably one of the last people you’d expect to challenge the boss. He’s portrayed as a soft-spoken character on TV, so you wouldn’t really expect him to do something like this behind the scenes.

McMahon looking to fight Kingston was probably not the greatest idea, but since nothing else came from this, it must not have been that big of a deal.

Seeing McMahon liking the fact that Kofi stood up for himself is interesting and one of the bizarre thoughts that goes though the boss’s head.

Is there more stories like this about Vince McMahon? My guess would be yes and someday, more will be exposed.

Imagining Vince trying to tackle all his employees..... what a place WWE must be to work for....

Vince calls you into his office for your yearly performance review... leaps over the desk and tries to wrestle you into submission.

That's my Kofi *cries*

The boss must not have liked it enough to put him in anything meaningful though

A Vince McMahon reality show is what will bring more subscriptions to the Network.

You'd think he was going senile if this wasn't seemingly a fairly regular thing going back decades.

Ask Hennig and Lesnar about that.

I think this makes me want to do coke with Vince. Maybe he opens the door while the plane is in the air and whoever is the first to get sucked out gets fired.

Curtis should've wrestled Vince on a plane ride, too.

I'm pretty they have only taken Fandango off tv so they can give Johnny Curtis a sudden push into the Wrestlemania main event without the hassle of any sustained build up or risk of injury.

I hope they do repackage Johnny Curtis into something amazing. I had the weird thought the other day that he could actually add a different flavor to an updated Wyatt Family. But that's very Russo.
