According to a report by PWInsider, there is some movement on both ends to get Bubba Ray, also known as Bully Ray in TNA, and Devon back in WWE sometime soon. Additionally, the report states there is mutual interest.
Outside of their return for the recent Bound for Glory ppv, Devon had been done with TNA for around a year while TNA wasn't willing to renew Bubba/Bully's contract when it expired a couple of months ago.

First thought: "More Attitude Era throwbacks on a part time contract? Meh."
Second thought: "Wait...they have pyro in their entrance! Sweet!"

I can't think of any exciting programs for them, but I will say that they look better now than they ever have.

Harper/Rowan, The Ascension, Usos,
I said "exciting", but I guess the Harper/Rowan thing could work. If the Dudleyz went over in that program though, I'd be pretty sad.

I would quite enjoy The Dudleyz feuding with Stardust and Goldust for the titles.
The promos alone would be awesome.

Does Ray own Bully Ray?

I assume so, TNA doesn't seem to think about owning names.

Dudleyz in TV-PG would be kinda meh. But obvs would mark the F out (see what I did there) to see them back on TV

They should come back as the Dudley Boyz - urban camo, glasses and Spike.
Even the Bubba Ray stutter would be fun. Pair stuttering Bubba with tourettes Goldust would make things hilarious.
if Bubba got a chance to have a bit of a run with his heel TNA character, that could produce some good/fun stuff. As a team, I don't really see it too much

<font color=goldenrod>With all Bubba accomplished on his own in TNA, I don't really think he'd be too eager to go back to WWE as a team full-time. At most I could see a brief 3 month return run sort of like the Outlaws had. Would probably end in a HOF induction and putting people through tables.</font>

Considering they went into business for themselves at Bound for Glory trying to get attention from NJPW, WWE is probably the last place for them.
don't blame them tbh, if there's still a spot for Archer and Harry Smith there, there's definitely room for the Dudleys

The nostalgia for a Dudleys return will have limited legs, a decent run for Bubba/Bully would be more interesting to me.

I don't know. When he was on the Opie & Jim Norton Show a few months back they asked him what would he do if Vince called him tomorrow, and I believe his words along the lines of "in a heartbeat"

Omg surfer dudleys would be all kinds of good. Change their names to The Dude-ly Bumz and give them some gnarly gear and bleach their hair blonde. 8/10 and least. Finishing move will off course be the radical move that's a lot like the 3D but now it's called "the wipeout". Why ain't I a booker?

I would like them to come back. The tag team "division" is so bad, they need an experienced team to guide the division to make it interesting. I used to love tag team wrestling but cant stand it right now.
Nicky Fives
10-21-2014, 05:30 PM
They can still go, I wouldn't mind seeing a comeback at all....
Meh. The Dudleys had their time in the spotlight in the WWE. I can see a nice pop for them in the beginning, but what do they really have to accomplish as a tag team in the WWE? Why take spotlight away from guys like the Usos, Cody Rhodes and the Wyatts, as well as other up and coming tag teams that the WWE will be forced to bring in eventually?
It'd be nice name recognition addition for the Dudleys versus whoever for the WWE Tag Titles, but in the overall picture it won't really mean much.
Bully Ray coming in would be kind of new and interesting to see, but I don't know if his character really hits the marks of your average WWE big time player. Mid-carder at best.

Bubba Ray's stupid ass boring singles run in WWE was close enough to the main event then that a fully-functioning Bully Ray could undoubtedly be a main eventer now.

Would be nice if they could also find a way to bring not just D-Von and Bubba Ray back but also Spike. I fucking loved his time as “The Boss” when he was CW Champ and a major badass heel.

There are a lot of reasons to bring back The Dudleyz. Nostalgia, merchandise, the crowd pops, having veterans work with younger guys. It makes sense to give them a part-time deal (or something similar to what Goldust works), and have them come in and make guys.
Aren't The Usos trying to be the "best brother team ever?" Yeah, that sounds like a challenge to me.
