View Full Version : Brock vs Cena (again) is the last thing I want to see for Lesnars next match.

You know Brocks keeping it till 'Mania so why not give Orton the shot, at least it's different.

I wish they had left it at the SummerSlam match. Even having that rematch at Night of Champions and the way it played out kinda took away some of the added mystique Lesnar got from the SummerSlam squash.
I mean... He's Brock Lesnar so he'll have some mystique to him but ending the streak and squashing Cena for the title put him at a whole other level. Night of Champions brought him back down to earth and made SummerSlam come off as "Cena just wasn't prepared".

Yeah that match did make the work put in at Mania and SS get tarnished, I was happy atleast that after 4 FUs and 1 Curb stomp Lesnar was able to get up and F5 Cena.
But I think they should have avoided damaging Lesnar at all costs. Lesnar should have faced Y2J at NOC since they never faced off before and they didn't play up Orton's win over Jericho there.
I would be all for a Orton vs Lesnar for Lesnars next match since I think they only faced off once on a smackdown.
I think we'll get Orton tbh.
Hoping we get D-Bry vs Lesnar at WM31 instead of Roman Reigns vs Lesnar as well.

What kind of half assed poll is this?
No Loose Cannon?
No RKO Outta Nowhere?
Someone show this kid the door.

Who else can create that big match feel inside of an arena?
No one is on the level of a Lesnar or Cena. I don't see how anyone would want to see something else. Just goes to show the thin roster WWE has. It's sad.

I disagree with this. Why wouldn't you want to see 2 legends in action?

I disagree, it is not the last thing I would want to see, however, ideally I would like Orton to face Brock to shake things up a bit.

I agree mostly because they should have ended the Cena-Lesnar saga after the SummerSlam match. That match and the streak match cemented Lesnar's aura as the "man" or final boss of the WWE. The DQ win by Cena at Night of Champions didn't help either guy at all nor the build to that match for Lesnar.
Ideally, Lesnar facing a new guy each month or wrestlers fighting over to prove who is worthy of facing him would have been a lot better than just only Cena being seen as worthy or doing nothing for months.

Put Ambrose or Rollins against Lesnar and Lesnar will destroy them. People will whine that a part timer just killed a young guys push.
Bitch bitch bitch.

Too early for either unless Rollins cashed in but why not something like Sheamus, Henry, Orton, and Big Show or maybe Cesaro had they kept his Mania push active.
That would cover until the Rumble and then start the Mania build for whoever is meant to beat him (Reigns at the moment).

I outlined a while ago what would be a good path towards Wrestlemania. Start with Big Show, then move on to Sheamus with the storyline being Sheamus standing up to the monster looking for a fight. You could do a beatdown of Big Show that is so brutal that WWE officials state they can't show it on Raw and it doesn't have to be bloody. It'd drive up Lesnars mystique. Show still photos on Raw up to a point where Cole says due to the brutality we can't show more. I'd then have HHH come out saying Lesnar is too dangerous tohave on Network television. That'd tie in with Lesnar only doing a limkted amount of dates. Have Heyman talk him up on Raw and just build from there. You could feed Lesnar established guys and not hurt their reputation. Big Show, Jericho, Kane can lose to Lesnar and not hurt their character. I'd do Lesnar vs Show at SS and Orton vs Lesnar at the December PPV. Do Sheamus vs Lesnar at Rumble. Follow that with a face Kane vs heel Lesnar in February and keep Lesnar off Elimnation Chamber. Then go Lesnar vs the Rumble winner at Wrestlemania. Not sure who I'd face him there. Too soon to tell. It's very simple, old school booking and it couldbdrive up interest in the Network since it'd be the only way to see Lesnar wrestle.

They need to have a rubber match again
Backlash: Lesnar over Cena Title match 1-0
Extreme Rules Cena Over 1-1
Summerslam: Brock Over Cena Title match 2-1
Night of Champions: Cena over DQ Title match. 2-2

I would actually rather see Cena vs Lesnar again than Show vs Lesnar. At least Cena is a guy who can make you question the outcome of the match because we know he's gonna be involved in the main event picture going forward. Lesnar has already squashed Show on PPV this year. And people knew it was gonna be a squash heading into that one. Why do it all over again so soon while Lesnar looks even stronger and Show is still the same glorified jobber to the stars he was before?

People still view Show as a threat. He's one of those established guys where a loss doesn't hurt him,

Sure, Show's one of the guys you can plug in to a filler main event on a month's notice to put a champion over. That's not the issue. The issue is that Lesnar already finished destroying Show. He squashed him in 2 minutes and moved on to bigger and better things. Going backwards and replaying the Royal Rumble match doesn't make sense.

I'm not into seeing a match with Brock Lesnar that I've already seen. I'd rather see Brock vs. Orton or, and I know people will hate using Brock's dates for multi-man matches, Dean Ambrose find his way into the Brock/Orton or Brock/Cena program. It'd give the fans that wild card in the formula. Brock vs. Ambrose might not draw, but Brock vs. Cena vs. Ambrose might get people intrigued and get people used to seeing a guy like Ambrose in the main event scene.
Rollins can face either Cena or Orton, whoever doesn't face Brock. Assuming they do Brock vs. Orton, which I would prefer to Brock vs. Cena, they can do Ambrose vs. Triple H or something. Don't wait until the Royal Rumble to get Brock back either. Survivor Series could be treated as a big PPV.
I see Show losing at Hell in a Cell to Rusev and then either feuding with Mark Henry or turning with him. Show and Henry would make perfect heel obstacles for The Usos to overcome.
By the way, I hated the Night of Champions finish. Ambrose should have counter-acted Rollins' interactions with Cena and Lesnar, and whilst Cena should have looked more focused and effective, Brock would have taken it to a new level and beaten Cena after three F5s or something.
Instead of just Cena vs. Orton in Hell in a Cell, I'd be doing some sort of multi-man #1 Contender's Match which I would have announced weeks ago. Would have made the two Cell matches (the other being Ambrose vs. Rollins) stand out from one another.

I hope they at least add some sort of stipulation like "Extreme Rules" or "No Holds Barred," so that they can beat the shit out of each other and Cena can reference the time he actually beat Lesnar.
