Question of the week for TLP's TNA podcast.

Assuming TNA were to launch a network, featuring the following:

All their current programming, available shortly after TV broadcast.
Their entire back catalogue of PPVs and Impact episodes.
Every documentary or compilation DVD they've produced.

How much would YOU be willing to pay for this service?

$1...Canadian.

This is an unfair question. For as much shit that TNA gets, they're not as bad as everyone (including me) says. A service THAT extensive would be a great value at $9.99.... but I wouldn't be able to reconnect with my childhood, which is a huge selling point for the WWE Network for me. For me, TNA isn't worth $9.99 a month.
However, the service as described above, I would pay $4.99 a month for a six month period and see if it grows on me.

The TNA Network would probably do quite well, with most non-wrestling fans thinking "The TNA Network" was some kind of on-demand porn service called "The Tits 'n' Ass Network".

And to answer your question.

I would gladly pay $9.99 for the first month to see if I like it, never really watched TNA much though I have followed up the major storylines. If I like it, then probably $4.99/month on a continuous basis.

$5 monthly for maybe a couple of months or small commitment.

Can't see a $10 monthly plan work for TNA just because of the lack of content a TNA Network would have compared to the WWE Network for the same price. Both in terms of library support and new stuff they could supply.

.00999

Nah j/k

Maybe like 2.99 a month. They don't have much of a archive which is what I'd probably be interested in and what I usually use most of my time on the WWE network on. Not really interested in watching their live PPVs unless they do a BattleBowl again.

So nothing? Good to know that you hate TNA. It's official.

Nothing. There is really nothing I care to go back and watch in TNA and I don't bother keeping up with their programs to even care about any PPV they have.

If somehow they could get their weekly show on it to air live (for those of us who care oh so very little for paying cable companies), I could see there being some allure.

I wouldn't pay for it because, well, I don't even have WWE Network atm, but I could see something like $4.99/month working, if they could finangle all their live shows and PPVs on it. But I don't see that happening.

They tape weeks in advance. They are almost never live.

Yeah, one of the several reasons why that idea would not work, hence why I think any sort of network service would be doomed to failure.

They would have to pay me to watch it and considering how bad things are, they would have to cough up big time,

This really, they have 10 years of content as opposed to the ever growing back catalogue the WWE has of multiple tape libraries and documentaries as well as their made for network shows, TNA had a lot of solid stuff from an in ring standpoint for phases through out the years but nothing to put them on par with the content on the WWE or UFC network alternatives even for a nostalgia trip.

Nothing.

I don't really have anything against TNA, and I want to keep up with it, and periodically do... but always inevitably give up just because I dunno.... "too much wrestling" to keep up with already with just WWE.

I'm not anti-TNA, I just don't care about it to subscribe to it.

3 dollars, it would be funny to have documentaries on the short lived stables of Main Event Mafia and Aces and Eights played up on the Network like they were on the level of the nWo/DX

That's kinda where I'm coming from too.

It's like... why watch the CFL when the NFL is on?

$1...Canadian.

That's pretty much the same as US dollar, ain't it?

Not sure where these jokes about Canadian money being worthless are coming from.

Yeah. "Pretty much" the same.

The way they always joked about Canadian dollars in movies made me think it's probably like 5 cents.

Yea. I think it falls more into the category of "Canada - America's Hat". Usually because news/activities or whatever, in Canada, largely go unnoticed in the rest of the world. lolcanada

Think 1 USD is .80 EU right now, so that is worse. GOD DAMN POLAND - RUINING THE EUROPEAN ECONOMY!!! ;)

They should have different pricing plans for lol TNA network. One price for 4 sided ring matches and another for 6 sided ring matches. With that said I would rather pay to watch real deal and the heavily armored battle midget than lol TNA.

AJHayes

I'd give $5 for it, they have some great stuff (and some garbage) just like most wrestling promotions.

Frankly, I'm for whatever helps the business the most. More exposure = more work for everyone.
