Thought this was worth a discussion after last night. Assuming we see Sting/HHH at Mania, could this be the night where WWE decided to go with a miracle Ziggler run to Mania? Is there anyone better who could be forced into the Rumble early and put on a real show that the crowd would get behind?

Sure, it could have just been the luck of the story last night, but the fact that he fought through two of the guys himself before getting helped gives me hope.

What do we think? Could WWE have realized that Reigns might need more work before being thrust into that situation? I always saw a bit of HBK in Dolph, and could see him taking on that role in the future. He is getting better on the mic and rarely has a bad match. He is charismatic and very likeable as a face.

Would you get behind it? And do you think there is any way it could happen?

I think Dean Ambrose is the guy.

NO to Roman Reigns and Lesnar

That sounds like a dumb match

He is superior to Reigns in every way.

Ambrose might have a slightly more interesting personality, but from a business standpoint I think Ziggler is more marketable as a top guy. Especially with his recent "never give up, kick out of everything" gimmick he seems to have recently adopted.

That's what I was thinking too. I can't figure out how they see him, or if he has his supporters backstage, but, where people like Ambrose and Wyatt are great, and definitely have their niche, I see Ziggler as a guy who could be a new Mr Wrestlemania. He could be the go to guy for great quality main event matches for years to come.

Even if Bryan did come back, I think they could do something equally as exciting with him somewhere else on the card (having Bryan return and be the guy to beat Rusev would be awesome, for example). I also feel like he has had his big Mania moment already, and this year could be Zigglers

Ambrose/Lesnar would be interesting to say the least....if Bryan cannot be the guy to face him at Mania, Ambrose is who I want to see.....

Yes and No.

If they build him up similar to last night, then a Ziggler-Lesnar match would sound interesting. Can easily deal with the whole Lesnar power issue by having Lesnar be way too smug leaving a lot of opportunities to let Ziggler "steal" the win.

Although only way Ziggler-Lesnar would even have the chance of happening is if everyone else the WWE would consider gets hurt between the Rumble and Mania. If Reigns gets hurt again, the WWE probably panics and uses Cena or some other bigger star instead as their backup plan.

Dolph is going to win the MITB from Rollins at TLC and cash in on Brock after he beats Reigns in a brutal match. For added surprise they'll probably have Dolph get his ass kicked earlier on in the show and come out with a DDP tape job.

I love Ambrose and Dolph but from a business standpoint Dolph is easier to market so gotta go with him.

Could go with something like the Eddie match, where he gets absolutely demolished in the beginning until he manages to hurt Lesnar somehow and go from there.

Reverse the F5 into a Zig Zag. Boom. Mania moment.

Most of Lesnar's matches have him dominating and throwing about the opponent, that would be an obvious early pattern. What Fignuts said about his heart though, and this gimmick of kicking out of everything could be culminated at Mania.

Have him kick out of suplex after suplex and then the F5. You have a spot where he is out on his feet and nails a massive superkick out of desperation. Then, if you want to put him over, he goes toe to toe with a stunned Lesnar, back and forward match, and have him just outsmart Lesnar in the end. Like loopy says, F5 into Zig Zag and a clean win.

If you have Sting wrestling, Bryan over Rusev, maybe a Cena/Hogan match for the tag titles, a 3 way Shield match and Dolph beating Lesnar for the title, that's a cracking Mania right there

I'm not against it, but I do still think Daniel Bryan is the guy. He looked well on RAW, and they hinted he was on the mend on SmackDown. The story behind Lesnar vs. Bryan is brilliant. Ziggler would be a better choice than Reigns, but I'd rather see him face John Cena at WrestleMania, to be honest. Face vs. face with Ziggler completely winning over the crowd in a "passing the torch" moment. Not that Ziggler would be "the guy" forever, but just to give him a shot and tell an awesome story and have an awesome match.
