AXS TV has released a trailer for their 2015 programming and includes New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of the lineup for the new year.

The LAW can report that AXS TV has a deal to run 13 episodes (including the 2013 G-1 Climax tournament) and the first episode will feature the Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada match from the 2013 Tokyo Dome show.

The broadcast team will consist of Mauro Ranallo and UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett and will be taped in December.

We have not heard a start date for the series.

The bad news? No new content, and it's on a channel that a lot of people don't even get.

The good news? Since all they've got to do is edit footage with some English commentary, it's dirt-cheap for them to produce, so it's likely that we'll get more coming after that. Plus, it's NJPW in America that I don't have to pirate, so hey.

AXS TV used to be HD Net, they had ROH for 2 years.

AXS TV is a weird channel..they have MMA/Kickboxing/Boxing plus concerts, stand up comedy..and Tom Green

New Japan is also supposedly starting their own WWE-like Network next year as well.

Making a big effort to expand in the US next year especially with more ROH/NJPW crossover shows also being planned.

That hasn't been confirmed at all, to my knowledge. All they did was show a logo for something called NJPW World, and said they'd have an announcement soon.

Could be a network type thing, but could also be a new TV SHow in Japan, or a new videogame. Could be anything, really.

NJPW World is supposedly "pro wresting TV, internet and streaming combined" but that's coming from a translation. "Details will be revealed" December 1st.

Speaking of video games, was announced earlier in the month they have a video game in the works. Mobile-only last time I checked.

Plus the whole former leader is in NXT, suspiciously befriends the latest Japanese signing.

Honma TV is the only acceptable name for this television spectacle

CSL

Friday Night Honma, HonmaDown, Honma Night's Main Event or KOKESHI's Castle would actually also be acceptable names

Well now I'm imagining Eureka's Castle with puppets all headbutting each other.

While not the US tv deal, New Japan World was confirmed today to be NJPW's version of the WWE Network. Costs 999 Yen ($8.49) to subscribe per month, the search system is tag-based, and will have a mixture of content. Currently available to the US, Canada, and Australia for international markets (haven't read anything about Europe at the moment).

Just like the WWE Network, all of NJPW's ppvs will be shown live on World. Video player seems similar to Youtube in appearance while it appears all shows allow the option of just watching a specific match (or few) without needing to load up the entire show.

You're telling me I can watch Kokeshis whenever I want?

CSL

KOKESHIIIIIIIII

It's available in Europe, got some login details sent to me earlier. Easy enough to navigate in Chrome after you translate the page, video quality is good, everything loads and plays quick enough and yeah, can be broken down into specific matches so you don't have to skip through shows etc. Can even search/sort results by venue, commentators etc. "New Japan Pro Wrestling fun unlimited service!"

Damn.

Gonna need to cut one of my other subscriptions so I can buy this. Way too good to pass up. Never got around to watching all those G-1 matches this year, so I'll probably start with that.
