I'll get a jump on this now if ya don't mind.

This Thursday, there's gonna be a live stream for the announcement of the new James Bond movie and the cast revealed.

So far, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Rory Kinnear are all back on board for their respective roles in Skyfall.

Pretty psyched if you ask me.

Christoph Waltz was announced as well, playing Blofield.

Batista also possibly in this.

Naomie Harris is the sexy black girl that plays money penny right?

have not been huge fans of the Daniel Craig bonds, but Christoph Waltz has got me VERY intrigued.

I know people didn't care for the whole idea, but I wonder if they will make Blofield tie in somehow with QUANTUM instead of SPECTRE.

Just to tie back into the first two films of the Daniel Craig Bond series...

I always hated what SPECTRE stood for.

The working title made me somewhat interested in seeing what a Bond and 24 mash-up would be like as an actual film.

So it is official. SPECTRE is the name of the film.

Apparently Waltz is not Blofield.

According to the official James Bond Twitter account, Waltz will play Oberhauser, possibly a reference to Hannes Oberhauser, who taught a young Bond how to climb and ski, and was referred to as his second father before his mysterious disappearance. Seydoux will portray Madeleine Swann, Belluci will play Lucia Sciarra, Scott will play British secret service agent Denbigh, and Bautista will portray Mr. Hinx, earlier characterized as a henchman in the tradition of Jaws and Oddjob.

Wonder what his gimmick will be, then? And, will it become as iconic as Oddjob's hat, or Jaws' metal teeth?

Saw the new trailer before Furious 7. I'm so excited for this. We've been watching all of the earlier movies lately and I hope to have finished all 23 by the time this comes out. Up to "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," so I'm optimistic.

Skip "Die Another Day"

No such thing as a bad Bond movie.

I saw Die Another Day in theater whenever that was. Far from the best, but enjoyable enough. I'm sure I'll see worse as I go. So far, Thunderball has been the weak link of the Connery flicks, imo.

Only Bond film I didn't enjoy was Live and Let Die. The rest were at the very least "fun".

Even Quantum of Solace?

Lock Jaw

Quantum of Solace is alright... and I hope they make reference to it in SPECTRE to "tie it in".... just mention that Quantum is a branch of Spectre or something....

Big Vic

I think SPECTRE is Quantum, correct? They just changed the name.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service always gets all the hate. But if you actually rewatch it, that movie is pretty great, except for George Lazenby who is (or at least was) a terrible actor. Other than his Bond, that movie is good. Might had been one of the best if they still had Connery.

Different groups although do share some similar goals.

Quantum only existed because of legal issues the Bond franchise had with the SPECTRE rights.

It was really hard watching that movie without Connery in the role. Lazenby did an ok enough job but seeing how he felt about Bond afterwards i was rather surprised he took the role to begin with.

Very cool..... can't wait....

Wonder what he means that he is the architect of all his pain.... wonder if they will tie it all back in to Casino Royale/Quantum..... Hope they do.....

Maybe he just killed off Bond's parents, rather than their deaths being an accident?

New Bond film already breaking some records at least in UK and parts of Europe:

The new James Bond movie Spectre that features Batista as a villain opened huge in the UK and five other territories with a record $80.4 million in the six countries it opened in over the weekend, including $63.8 million in the U.K. It was breaking all-time box office records daily in the U.K. this past week. The highest seven-day gross in U.K. history was held by Skyfall. It did a whopping $110-,000 per screen, breaking the record of The Dark Knight of $100,200 per screen. The movie opens in the U.S. on Thursday in most markets, where it is expected to do monster business. Other all-time box office records were set this past weekend in Holland, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

Saw this last weekend, a great opening set piece and ending but think Skyfall was an overall better film.

I didn't really like the "Bond Girl" in this one.... Felt that there was very little chemistry, when they are playing it up like there is supposed to be "more than usual"....

Disturbed316

Yeah, it didn't add much. There was so much hype about the film having a 'Bond woman' for the first time ever, but him and the milf barely had 10 minutes of screen time together. Yeah he banged her but I wouldn't class her as a Bond girl, they usual have much more time/interaction together to be classed as one.
