A warrant for Heath Slater (real name Heath Miller) has been issued by Atlanta police after an incident at the WrestleMania 27 after party in 2011. The news is being reported locally on Atlanta’s Fox 5 television. Slater is accused of putting Corinne Oliver, who worked security at the event, in a chokehold and attempting to get her in an elevator and dragging her back to his room at the Hyatt Regency. She claims that the alleged attacked caused damage to five vertebrae in her back.

The incidient was reported the morning after the incident to her supervisor. A police report was not filed until three months later. Oliver says that she waited for her supervisors at Allied Barton Securities to file the police report, which they never did. She also says that other wrestlers witnessed the incident and did not help. WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt issued a statement saying that the charges are being filed against Slater as an individual and not against the company. The charge in the police report is described as “simple assault/battery.”

wow these charges seem awfully late for what they are. Seems like the statute should have been up on that maybe.

Seriously, three years? What the fuck?

Not excusing what may have happened there. If that's the way it went down, that's pretty fucked up on Heath's part. But why wait so long? Why now? Did she listen to CM Punk's podcast and get inspired or something?

For him, I think it leads to a push as Andy Kaufman 2.0

Why do people insist on waiting a few years before actually taking action against people? It seems to be happening a lot these days.

Common sense would tell you to take action straight away.

If someone attacked me in some way, I wouldn't wait for around five years to pass then decide to "speak out" about it and set the police on them.

Its a work, leading to a "Heath Slater, Fugitive" storyline.

Is this totally going to lead to the fabled Mark Twain storyline that I imagined when Slater and Gator teamed up.

Her back is messed up and she needs someone to blame.

The report makes it sound like the police and not her waited all these years. Also doesn't seem like breaking several bones would be just "simple" assault.

The Atlanta police report described the incident as a “simple assault/battery.” A warrant for Slater’s arrest was declined last year, which would make us wonder why it was suddenly approved today.

Either the new warrant includes the claims of rape or something else got recently added in for it to get passed.

Honestly, how do you mistake Bill Cosby for Heath Slater?

The One Man Band is innocent. It wouldn't take this long to prove a case in a simple assault and battery baby.

Elevator + sports athlete=relevance. Innocent.
