QUESTION - Would Dean Ambrose costing Roman Reigns his match against Daniel Bryan be a good idea?

At Fast Lane, Dean Ambrose unexpectedly interferes during the Reigns/Bryan match, and deliberately costs Reigns the match. Bryan wins the match, and then goes on to face Lesnar at Mania.'

Ambrose's actions can be explained due to jealousy (i.e. Reigns and Rollins going to new heights since The Shield broke up while he kind of got left behind), or bitterness (i.e. Ambrose argues that Reigns didn't have his back at the rumble towards the end when he got eliminated).

Would this be a good idea? Would having Bryan in the main-event be a good way to ensure high fan interest, or would it reek of desperation on the WWE's part?

While a move like this probably would reek of desperation, we all saw the disturbing crowd reaction when Reigns won the rumble last month.

FYI - I ended up voting 'no', as I think a move like this would make the WWE look overly desperate.

Having said that, I think the WWE might need to do what they did with Batista last year.......and turn Reigns heel. Perhaps a double switch between Reigns and Lesnar might be the best way to go (with Reigns and The Authority possible aligning?).

I think no, because Ambrose has managed to become a hugely over face, and the "unstable" character still has a lot of life left in it. On the other hand, if that's the direction needed in order to get Roman Reigns out of the Wrestlemania main event, then by all means yes!!!

I vote yes but only if it leads to Reigns Vs. Rollins Vs. Ambrose at WrestleMania.

I'd say no mostly because Rollins is more likely to spoil that match storyline wise. Rollins could attack Reigns getting Bryan DQed as revenge or attack first Bryan getting Reigns DQed by accident.

No No No No No No No No No No No No No No. I voted no.

No. I still say make it a fatal fourway: Lesnar vs Reigns vs Bryant vs Rollins>
OR, keep it one on one, but you better damn well close out Wrestlemania with Rollins successfully cashing in.

If we had ....

Lesnar vs Bryan

Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose

Triple H vs Sting

That would be a pretty sick Wrestlemania card

I just don't want Bryan to beat Roman due to shenanigans, it would make him look weak going against Lesnar, which he is already a huge underdog (kayfabe).

No, do not turn Ambrose heel. He is a legit face that everyone (smarks and marks) can get behind. He has a lot left in the tank and even if Reigns and Ambrose would be awesome for Mania it would be terrible for Ambrose in the long term. The guy is amazing and being built up nice and slow. He has the ability to maintain steam without proper booking and possibly become a legit main event in the next 6 months.

I've suggested this is another thread. Ambrose works as a face, but the company have sort of mishandled his booking recently. He's lost a few crucial matches and I feel that his "impact" is a bit damaged. He could be rebuilt, and may benefit from not being thrown the spotlight every week, but I also think he would just be amazing as a heel.

I kinda love Ambrose as a crazy but fun face and don't wanna see him turn heel. So no. They have enough guys who could potentially fill any heel role they need to fill. Ambrose is fine where he is.

Dean Ambrose doesn't necessarily need to turn heel:

A few people in this thread have mentioned that they do not want to see Ambrose turn heel (i.e. by attacking Reigns in his match against Bryan).

What if the following happened: Ambrose costs Reigns his match, and then starts his feud with Reigns the next night on RAW. Let the fans decide who is heel and who is face. As popular as Ambrose is, and as much heat as Reigns has been receiving, it's entirely possible that the fans stick with Ambrose despite his actions.

It would be a heelish thing to do though which goes against the "loveable crazy guy" character he has now.

Roman Reigns and The Authority aligning at Fast Lane:

Another possible scenario I had in mind, was the Authority interfering during the Bryan/Reigns match and messing with Bryan. At first, the fans wouldn't think much of it since they know that the Authority already dislikes Bryan, but then we see The Authority and their henchmen (i.e. Kane, Mercury, Noble, etc.), working in accordance with Roman Reigns.

Think: Wrestlemania 17 - The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Reigns defeats Bryan with the help of The Authority.

This then raises a few questions to be answered the next night on RAW.

1) Where does this leave Seth Rollins?
2) Where does this leave Brock Lesnar and his mild alliance with The Authority?

The way I would spin things (if this scenario went down), is that The Authority have both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as their main center pieces, but unlike Orton, are successful in getting Rollins and Reigns to work in accordance despite personal differences. With The Authority and Reigns now together, and with Lesnar opposing them, this leads to a Brock Lesnar face turn.

Reigns basically plays the role that Batista played last year (i.e. fans turned on Batista and so Batista turned on the fans).

You're quite likely right.

I haven't watched wrestling since last April and so I probably am a little out of touch with the fans' reactions.

Me and Vince McMahon might have something in common. ;)

Now this would be great. It keeps ALL superstars "in the spotlight" and also gives multiple angles/options on where to go with people. This would actually keep me tuned in to the weekly shows (for a while), which I have not viewed since Summer Slam.

:y: Thanks Man.

Here's another idea I thought of if something like this went to fruition. Over the course of the year, Kane and Big Show both leave The Authority somehow, and Luke Harper becomes the new COO.

So basically, The Authority consists of the following:

-Triple H and Stephanie
-Roman Reigns
-Seth Rollins
-J&J Security
-Luke Harper as COO

Somehow someway - Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, and Eric Rowan all become at odds with The Authority.

At one of the PPV's, we see a 6 man tag match. On one side - Rollins, Reigns, and Harper. On the other - Wyatt, Ambrose, and Rowan. An alternative version of The Shield vs. The Wyatt's.

The match itself with said participants would be great.

Yeah - I figured that the fans were really into The Shield/Wyatt family feud, and so an 'alternative' version of Shield vs. Wyatt would be a huge hit.
