If it does happen, ROH would get a huge boost in the amount of markets available to them compared to what they currently get with just Sinclair. Might be in the third to half more range.

I think that would be great but I've never heard of Richard Gray or his website, and after looking into it, I don't think he has any connections beyond a subscription to The Torch and The Observer.

Apparently there is nothing to this. It's a shame, as I do wish for there to be a major alternative.

ROH is owned by Sinclair. ROH can't get a TV deal with Spike TV. Sinclair could get a deal for them but they'd be competing against themselves.

That would ruin ROH but like STD said they are owned by a broadcast company why would they put their show on a channel they don't own. Spike TV is bad news when it comes to wrestling.

The Spike TV rumor got debunked but according to Meltzer, ROH has been sending feelers to various places gauging the level of interest in both ROH and/or wrestling for possible future deals.

There was a rumor going around this week that Ring Of Honor was negotiating with Spike TV for televised specials, which is not true. Spike TV has no idea where this came from. A source noted that it was ROH that leaked the story to mask some of the budget issues that the company is dealing with.

Dave Meltzer addressed the ROH rumors on the F4WOnline forum, stating to not "read much into the ROH Spike stuff." Meltzer added that "ROH is pitching places but right now nobody is catching."

"Jeff Jarrett being 15 months into the game with no TV deal tells you how much the TV industry is into paying for wrestling these days," Meltzer wrote. "Tho I smell smoke from Jeff's side."
