View Full Version : Did WWE Fastlane make you want to subscribe to WWE Network?

Let's say you were "on the fence" and decided to try WWEs free month to get a better idea on whether or not you'd like to "go for it." Based on the WWE Fastlane PPV, would you subscribe to the network?

No. Nothing about that PPV even seemed like a PPV. In fact outside the Reigns vs Bryan match it felt like an episode of RAW.

Didn't watch it but what about Cena vs Rusev?

No. Outside of the Usos vs Brass Ring Club and the main event, show felt lackluster overall. Crowd being bored or disinterested for almost the whole show didn't help either.

I think the network is worth the price for the library alone.

If based solely on the PPV I wouldn't be swayed.

Nope. It made me not want to resubscribe (Did for the RR and just so happened Fastlane was attached to my 30 days). This is not because Daniel Bryan is not in the main event either.

You have, Sting going over HHH. Reigns going over Brock. Those are the two main matches, both with predictable outcomes, and only 1 wrestler who I care to even watch anymore (Brock).

Big Vic

Yeah I think when brock leaves I might be done, I like Rusev but I'm not interested in seeing Rusev do a best of 3 with Cena (really hope this doesn't happen) or rusev being fed to Reigns.

Nope. In fact I just felt depressed after the show was done. My interest in this show has never been lower and I have 0 interest in WM.

I doubt even NXT could turn me around, outside of some massive shift I'm just burnt out.

I am going to Wrestlemania, so I have to have hope. Admittedly though, it isn't looking good.

Fast Lane did however end my quest to find cheap flights/hotel/mania tickets.

I had that hope before I went to the rumble, didn't think I'd be let down as bad as I was.

Was Fastlane enough by itself to convince me? I'd say no.

Having the option to watch monthly PPVs live, or if I don't want to stay up til 4am stream the next day through a secure feed that's not gonna give my computer a virus, whilst also having access to the wonderful NXT, and a massive library of exclusive content and back catalogue for £5 a month (I split the cost with a friend) just about keeps me going.

Rusev vs Cena and Reigns vs Bryan were both really good, but neither were 5 star classics. Brass Ring vs Uso's was alright. Mostly memorable for Brass Ring Club winning tho. Besides that, not a great PPV.

Still glad they took the elimination chamber out though. Being between the rumble and mania wasn't a good spot, imo. Also, making a PPV out of it kind of lessens the importance of it. Feel the same way about HIAC.

Nah. Bryan vs. Reigns was a great match, but didn't have the outcome that I, as a fan, wanted to see. Cena vs. Rusev was good, but I'm not a major fan of Cena or Rusev's character, so it still feels like a loose sell to me. If Paige and Dean Ambrose had won their respective championship matches, then I might have more fond memories of the event.

In retrospect, given that this was a chance to pimp the WWE Network, this would have been the perfect place to advertise NXT on WWE PPV. Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor would have been a VERY welcome addition to the card on my end. You could have taken off the matches that the company wasn't confident in delivering closure with (like the aforementioned title matches), and Owens vs. Balor could have been used to sell people on NXT.

The $9.99 is worth the HD feed of the PPV. Unless I stop watching RAW and become super broke, $9.99 a month is a good deal.

This.

I also recommend because almost all, if not every, Documentary they have done for the Network has been pretty great.

The Podcasts and all the Original content make $9.99 a steal.

I do wish they would put more of the Legends of Wrestling Roundtables up though.

Not even remotely..... the crowd failing to actually give a shit really turned things for me......They were basically silent for "Undertaker's" first appearance since Wrestlemania....place should have come unglued.....

Was really looking forward to Cena vs Rusev and Goldy v Cody but both managed to be epic bores.

Only thing Fast Lane did was confirm NXT is the only WWE produced program worth watching.

The crowd did suck, but it's not like the WWE has given them much reason to care. They took it out of hardcore fans with the Royal Rumble.

I'm calling it.

Bray Wyatt defeats Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and "ends" Undertaker's career.

Even if he did, I think it has been proven by now that one big event doesn't put a guy over because WWE can just undo it by being morons. Booking needs to be consistent now for anything substantial to happen, and WWE has proven that they are really bad at doing that.

This is definitely true, but I think Bray Wyatt is one of those guys that the WWE really wants to push to the moon at some point. Wyatt, Reigns, and Rollins seem to be loved by management, and unlike practically everyone else on the roster, I think the WWE genuinely is 'invested' in these 3 guys.

Austin was saying on his podcast that the acoustics were off in the arena, more than the crowd weren't interested.

Still, 'Taker is pushing 50, and it becomes more and more obvious with each passing year why he only competes once a year. He just needs to get a win @ WM31 and retire with a very respectable epic 22-1 WM record. Seems like younger generations probably don't even know or care that much about him, just shows up once a year for his WM paycheck and to give older fans a bit of what seems more like nostalgia than an actual match anymore.

Mr. Nerfect

I have a feeling that The Undertaker will beat Bray at WrestleMania, but I'd rather see Bray win, then The Wyatt Family return to their patriarch. They take The Undertaker to the back with them, and Kane returns as a monster and demands The Undertaker's soul back.

Yes, it's cheesy. Yes, Kane vs. Wyatt has been done. No, the matches would not be great. But as far as giving Taker and Kane send-offs, I'd like to see them make Bray Wyatt the true New Face of Fear in WWE. Wyatt beats Taker at Mania, then defeats Kane at Extreme Rules. Wyatt then becomes the favorite for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the June PPV, which also features homestate favorites Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler.
