I've never had the fortune to meet any wrestlers but id like to hear about your experiences. None of those backyard half-wits count though.

Sting, Stone Cold, Mick Foley, Undertaker, Triple H, Chyna, British Bulldog, X Pac, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Booker T, Ric Flair, Jeff Jarett, Lex Luger, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Norman Smiley, Gail Kim, Mickie James, Lisa Marie Varon, Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, AJ Styles, Bubba Ray Dudley and Bret Hart.
Sting was great nice guy to chat too at the time I asked him if ever had any intentions of wanting to break the streak, he smiled and asked "which streak would that be?" and I was like, "oh you know some dude calling himself the deadman etc" he laughed and replied "never say never". That was in January 2012.
Foley asked if he could borrow my pen and said he would give it back later, he never returned it lol.
Kissed Mickie James, Gail Kim and Victoria. The rest were mostly quick handshakes and autographs and photos though Bret Hart's was a talk about his career, Owen Hart etc. Told him at the end how moved I was by his memories, talk etc he shook hands patted me on the shoulder and said how much he appreciated that. This was only less than a year since Owen had died Bret was still clearly visibly shaken by it and who could blame him?

Not quite not met Hogan, Rock, Cena, HBK, Macho Man, Warrior.....of the ones I really wanted to meet and sadly will never get to meet the latter.
Also really want to meet Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Paige, Ivory, Tamina Snuka, Lita, Trish Stratus.
Sting ranks as my best and Mick Foley. Ric Flair wasn't particularly friendly.

I forgot to include Vampiro, Brian Knobbs, Fit Finlay, Gangrel.
How could I forgot, I met Edge and Christian too when they were part of that ridiculous gimmick with Gangrel oh and JBL and Ron Simmons when they were the Accolytes. Gillberg and Tiger Ali Singh.

Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Bray Wyatt, The Miz, Kane, Sheamus, Emma, Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox, Layla, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, The Uso's, John Lauranitis, Charles Robinson (Yeah, I know he's a ref, but still).

Jericho is another I would like to meet and Chris Benoit was but obviously but before he was a psycho and died. Eddie Guerrero won't get that chance sadly. Rey Mysterio would like to meet him one of the all time greats and I'm sad his time at WWE has come to an end without even so much as an acknowledgement but I guess it was the circumstances.

Met Ric Flair twice at signings, and he never even looked at me either time. Definitely didn't want to be there.
Edge was cool I guess.
JR was the best. Was doing a signing at WWE's store at niagara falls. People lined up outside, and it was raining out. Finally get all the way up to the table and I notice JR is talking to everyone who comes up. Just a quick word, but I thought it was cool that he was actually talking to everyone. Most guys just say hello sign and then move you along.
Then some dude comes up and whispers something to JR about hurrying up and moving the people along. JR then yells at the guy "THESE PEOPLE WAITED IN THE RAIN TO SEE ME, AND I'LL TAKE AS MUCH DAMN TIME AS I WANT!"

I have great memories from that place. Another time Trish was doing a signing. I had just started helping out at this wrestling radio show, and me and the head guy were going there to get a sound bite from her for the show. So we go in with the rest of the media guests, while all the fans are outside waiting to come in.
Anyway, apparently this guy I was with was kind of obnoxious with the security staff the last time they were there, so we were escorted out. The front doors of the place are heavily tinted so you can't tell who is on the other side. The door started to open, and the 200 plus people outside popped thinking trish was coming out, then they saw it was two nobodies and calmed down.
But I don't care. For a split second, I got huge pop from over 200 people. It was fucking awesome.

Ric was pretty cool when I met him, and he was really nice to my daughter.
Bray was like a little school girl when I walked through Gorilla after proposing to Mikala, he was excited an happy for me, and gave me THE biggest hug. Such a warm and lovely guy.
Nikki Bella is by far the nicest superstar I have ever met though (Besides Y2J). When she heard I was in catering, she came running out from her dressing room to say hi and give me a hug, and to let me know that her and John were excited for me with my proposal. And then after it, outside gorilla, she grabbed Shakiya and Mikala and hugged them and kept them company while I did an interview with wwe.com and spoke with Chris, and then she threw herself at me for another hug.... Just on a side note, she has an AMAZING body. But yeah, she was so fucking lovely, and came across extremely genuine.

Met Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Honky Tonk Man and John Morrison at comic and anime conventions here. Honky and Duggan were both at the same one. Pissed off Honky cause I got Duggan's autograph and his manager said he'd throw in Honky's too at half price to which I replied "no thanks". Talked with Duggan for about a half an hour and the whole while Honky kept glaring at me on occasion. Duggan was super chill and we had a pretty funny conversation about cosplayers and a guy in a Sailor Moon outfit. Morrison was more of a quick "Hey, how's it going" sort of thing with him just asking who my favorite WWE guy was and if I watch any indy stuff. I also met Kofi Kingston after a live event once.

Stone Cold Steve Austin, Debra, Raven, BigShow, Brock Lesner, and Jerry Lawler. Met all at a house show at Rupp Arena except Jerry, met him at a minor league baseball game. Also met William Regal but he wouldn't give any autographs out and was kinda snobbish. He might have still been in character but he came off as a dick.

Chris Jericho twice (at Fozzy gigs), The Dudleys, The Hurricane, Mick Foley, Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, Sandman, Raven, a bunch of TNA/ROH/Indy guys back in the day, AJ Styles, CM Punk when he was still an indy guy, can't remember who else off the top of my head.
Done training seminars with guys such as Jim Neidhart, Tito Santana, Kevin Thorn, Chris Masters and a few others I've forgotten.
And Robbie Brookside multiple times.

Escorted Hornswoggle and his family to the VIP seating area at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular the day after whatever Mania he got brained by a garbage can by JBL. Nice guy, but we didn't have a chance to chat long, since he was there for the show, and I was coordinating it.
Was Scotty 2 Hotty's tour guide on the Great Movie Ride. Had no real interaction, though. Just saw him sitting there. He applauded at the end. Makes me feel bad for booing him at a house show when I was 19 because he was against Kidman, who I liked more.

My dad used to work on hot rods as a side job and a friend of his referred him to Shamrock, who had a late 60s camaro. Got to meet him at his home in San Diego and get an autograph, photo and free live event tickets.

What did Bray smell like? I imagine he smelt like wet moss or other plants when he locked you in that hug....
Great to hear the stories though. Did you get a sneaky boob grabs with any of the Diva hugs? :naughty:
You should hit Chris up on getting you on that Warrior award for next year.

Bray was a little sweaty, but had a musky smell to him. Quite manly really. His beard was majestic also, and I felt comfort in having laid around me.
I feel like I could have possibly gone for a sneaky boob brush with Nikki or Layla. No chance with Emma, she was REALLY shy which surprised me. Either that or my manliness was too much for her ;)
And that idea has been thrown around already here haha. I can't see me getting a look in, maybe I can ask for Hunters number and become friends with him and see where things go from there.

So many 's
The first wrestlers i met were Mick Foley, Kurt Angle and Jay Lethal. A friend let me crash a media meet organised by ESPN-Star (the then broadcasters of TNA in India), before the meet started. Foley was extremely cordial, posed for pictures, and happily autographed my copy of his first book. Angle, well, didn't really seem pleased to be there, and threw me a 'why are you even here' look. Lethal seemed genuinely pleased that someone knew who he was, and was keen on talking about the Black Machismo gimmick, which we did for about two minutes since the event had to begin.
I've also met the Big Show, again, thanks to my previous job. That entire experience has been chronicled in this thread: http://www.tpwwforums.com/showthread.php?t=125955
And, i've had the pleasure of hosting a segment with Wade 'Bad News' Barrett, which was again, extremely cool. Have written about it in the 100,000 posts thread, and well, the segment can be viewed below.

Lets see
Uncle Elmer-He ran a fed in the next town over from me for about 2 years. Interviewed him for my Jr High newspaper. Nice guy.
Bad News Allen.
Hardcore Holly-Back when he was getting trained he worked a couple of shutdowns in chem plants with my father. The company they worked for threw a picnic. Got to talk to Bob,Who was just Robert back then, for a bit.
Mark Henry-He has just started with WWF and I ran into him at Waffle House near where he grew up.
Booker T-It was after a PPV in Houston. Really nice guy.
Kamala-Saw what I think was his final match. Since I had helped out promoting the show the promoter let me in to the lockeroom so I could meet Kamala. Really nice and humble guy.
Chris Masters-He came to NOLA to work a Wildkat show. Got to talk to him for a few minutes before and after the show.
Bestia 666-Son of Damien 666. Met him twice now at Wildkat shows.
Matt Hardy-Slik has seen the pictures of Matt Hardy when someone we know brought him a bag of grapes to a Wildkat show. Ended up talking to Matt about a mutual friend that worked in OMEGA years ago.
Stevie Richards-Came in to work a Powerslam show. Got invited after the show to go have dinner with them at Waffle House. Really neat guy who is way into conspiracy theories.
Luke Hawx-He owns Wildkat and worked for Powerslam. Super nice guy,who after meeting me one time not only remembered my name but remembered I love lucha libre. Every time I have made the trip to NOLA for a Wildkat show,Luke makes it a point to come find me and ask how my trip was.
Viscera-He worked Powerslam's Heritage Days show in May 2013. After the show got to talk to him for a bit. Mentioned how I had been following him since he first showed up in Memphis. "Newt you are making me feel old" was his reply. Then found out he was only 2 years older than me.
Ted Dibiase Jr-Came in for a Powerslam show held in a strip mall church in Picayune MS. Only got to talk to him for a few minutes after the show. He was in a rush to get home.
Vordell Walker-Met him so many times. Mostly cause he works most of the indies in my area. Really nice and quiet guy. The 4th time I met him he told me why he wasn't in ROH for long and why he doubted he would get the call from TNA.
Rodney Mack-Met him last night for the first time. We talked about XCW. And he asked me to link him when I uploaded his match.
There is other indy names I have met. But most of them are unknown outside the deep south area. People like former NWA women's champ Barbi Hayden, who is much prettier in person. Former WWE ref and FCW talent Wes Adams, who I usually end up talking to at least once a week. Mostly about baseball cards and comics. Sugar Dunkerton, met him at the second Great Southern 8. And plenty of others.

I've met the following names:
Harley Race - really nice guy and indulged this mark in talking about his feud with Ric Flair and his multiple title runs.
Jerry Brisco - super nice man. just a completely humble and great man to talk to. We chatted for a good 10-15 minutes about his career in Georgia and Florida.
Baron Von Raschke - one of the most awesome experiences was meeting Da Baron. He's really rather shy in real life. He perked up though when I mentioned my late grandfather's name.
He and my grandfather were acquaintances years ago.
Bob Geigel - really nice but quiet man. He didn't say all that much.
Brad Rheingans - Nice enough but didn't say much either.
Gene LeBell - really an awesome and funny guy to meet. Couldn't have been nicer to me.
Danny Hodge - wow this man is the nicest guy I've ever met. We talked for a good 30 plus minutes about anything and everything. He talked to me as if we had been old friends.

As someone who has loved the sport of wrestling all of my life, I always dreamed of meeting my favorite superstars. Here are a few stories detailing how sometimes, with a little luck, you can do just that.
The first person I got to meet was BILLY GUNN back in his "Smokin' Gunns" days. I was probably about 8 or 9 years old at the time. The WWF used to stop at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, to a venue called the Quandt fieldhouse. I was ringside with my grandfather(may he R.I.P) and before the event started we noticed him peeking through the curtain. My grandfather, not being a shy man, got his attention and handed him my program and a sharpie. He signed it, smiled, and high-fived me before disappearing into the back, just as quickly as he appeared. While it wasn't the longest interaction, it made a huge impact on me.
Another person I've had the pleasure of sharing a few moments with was "Lil' Naitch" himself, Charles Robinson. After a SmackDown! taping in Green Bay, WI in July of last year, me, my wife, Heather, and my friend, Ryan, were shuffling our way out along with the rest of the crowd. As I'm scanning the Resch Center one more time, taking one last mental picture of it all, I noticed him using a wrench to loosen the turnbuckle from the ring post. I quietly gestured to the rest of my group that we should slowly make our way over, so as not to draw too much attention from other fans. I asked him if he had time to pose for a photo with us, but he said, "He was too busy." I then countered with, "What if my wife gives you a kiss on the cheek?". He quickly looked around and hopped down from the ring apron. We take the first picture of him and my wife. I then say that I should get one too and in my drunken excitement, pull him in and give him a kiss on the cheek as well. The face he made in the picture is classic! Afterward, he shook my hand and said that was one of the funniest things that could've happened. Such a nice guy with a great sense of humor. Now we always chant "LIL' NAITCH" a minimum of 3 times whenever we go to a live event.
The same night, as we were exiting the arena, we heard someone say that Kofi Kingston was at a party hosted by Hornswoggle(Oshkosh, WI native) at a bar just down the road. We all hauled ass to said bar, hoping that the rumor was true. We walk in and immediately start looking for anyone who might be having a drink after the show. After getting a drink, we started to walk outside to the patio. On the way out, we ran into Titus O'Neill using an ATM. We said hello and snapped a couple of pictures with him before he went upstairs to the roped off section. We decided to sit down at the corner of the bar, close to the staircase, just in case someone else would happen to walk by. Within minutes, we see Big E, who also took the time to take a couple of pictures with us. We waited around for a little while longer but didn't see anyone else, so we finished up our drinks and left. It was still one of the best nights of my wrestling fan-dom.
But my favorite experience would have to be meeting former WWE superstar, Mason Ryan, at a concert/meet & greet, hosted by a friend of mine in Milwaukee. We got to actually sit down with him and BS for over an hour. We talked about his days in the WWE, how both ROH & WWE were in Milwaukee that same weekend for shows, and a small town in Wales, close to where he grew up, called Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. He couldn't have been more laid back. Later on in the night, he joined my friend's band, The Heroes Lie, on-stage while they played his WWE theme song, "Here And Now Or Never", which they wrote. It was easily the best concert-going experience I've ever had and the meet & greet made it even better.
I'll be going back to Green Bay at the end of this month for RAW. I'm hoping to meet more people than last time, especially since we'll be tailgating at Lambeau prior to the show. IF we're lucky, maybe we can convince someone to join us for a brat and a brew.
