View Full Version : Will Sting bother showing up to promote his match or just another Triple H monologue?

Sting has 3 appearances of a 6 appearance contract left so he could show up tonight and next week before WM unless he wants to appear on Smackdown, Main Event, Superstars, NXT before then. Not sure if live shows and Axxess count.
Why is the build up to this so lame? On paper this should be one of the biggest matches of all time and "long-awaited debut" of "WCW Icon" STING.
Why does it blow so much?

Word on the net is that he will show up tonight and stand there and say nothing. Again.

I don't like the WWE vs. WCW stuff. I'd rather it if Sting pointed out that as a fan of professional wrestling, he couldn't stand seeing The Authority screw around with the careers of talented wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan anymore.

Well given that it is supposedly heading towards a "If Sting wins that's the end of the Authourity" storyline, it really needed more hyping. Could have been easy with Triple H bragging about how Bryan, Cena, Ziggler couldn't end the Authourity and then Sting saying he defeated the nwo once before and can defeat the authourity. So much potential wasted.

Fact
It's probably the most interesting angle heading into Mania, even if the WCW stuff is a little tacked on. I think they're looking to build momentum as they get to Mania, sporadic appearances where he says nothing or does little, building towards ext week he'll get a live promo on Raw, then the match at Mania.
They could have had him speak from day one and by this point he'd be repeating himself and people may have lost interest in him as a promo. People are actually anticipating the first words out of his mouth - putting aside the Network promo.

Well it looks like (and I'm hoping) it's building to next Monday where Sting will lay his cards out on the table as it were and we have a stipulation of if he loses, he leaves. But if he wins, the Authourity are finished.
