In all honesty though, I don't think he "made a crack". I think Neville is known as "The Man That Gravity Forgot" and whilst talking about a past King of the Ring winner also being a high flyer, Booker T. tried to build up the current guy as better than the past guy (as is his job) by reminding people that while the past guy may have been a good high-flyer, he did not defy gravity in the ring like this up-and-comer does.

He just happened to be "in the moment" and not considering the fact that Owen Hart died by failing to defy gravity. It was an unfortunate mistake.

I didn't even catch that until reading this thread just now. Know why? Because I took Booker's words in context. Owen really wasn't so much of a high flyer (not a pun on his death, by the way), he was more of a mat wrestler. He jumped around more than, say, Bret, but it wasn't like he was early X-Pac or the then jobber, pre "z" Hardy Boys. I honestly didn't think about his cause of death at all. In fact, I was more surprised they brought up Owen being KotR and completely neglected mentioning Regal. Mabel too, but that one was for the best.

As for the "outrage" from the sock, I doubt he'd be as pissy about it if Jeff Jarrett were wearing the costume that night.
