Good fucking luck to Bo and Neville. Just pack it up and go home. There's no chance of anything else on this show coming close to Owens beating Cena, legit, clean in the center of the ring.

<font color=goldenrod>While I think holding off until next year for their next encounter would be amazing...I know WWE will have them fight again by SummerSlam at the latest.

Owens will probably (rightly) say there is no reason for him to give Cena another match. Cena will show up at the next Takeover and do something to cost Owens the belt or something. Gotta be some reason to make Owens want to accept the challenge.</font>

Probably still jobbing in every big match because WWE has no continuity... but still.

I hate how they always take the King of the Ring gimmick so literally.... always with the "all hail the king" and "royal proclamations" and other "royal" things..... its like, you do know you aren't a real king, right?

You should treat it as it is, that you won a tournament that proves you are the best in the ring.

Especially if its non-title again and Owens already implying he doesn't really care for that belt.

<font color=goldenrod>Very much enjoyed this PPV.

-Tag Title Chamber was chaotic but fun, New Day are excellent so them winning works

-Divas division has been aimless but their match tonight was inoffensive

-Owens vs. Cena was fucking phenomenal and Owens going over clean is amazing. Yes, they're blowing their load by having a rematch in 2 weeks but there's no denying this match was the shit

-Neville/Dallas was a blatant cooldown match but not bad at all

-IC Title Chamber was pretty clunky and the pacing seemed really off at times, but it wasn't bad or anything. Ryback probably needed the win more than anybody else as the only guy in the chamber to not hold singles gold

-Ambrose/Rollins is always a good match. I marked the fuck out for Ambrose pinning the champ clean even if it took about 30 seconds to realize it'd get overturned. Seems likely that either Ambrose or Reigns will turn at MITB so I'm very interested in seeing where that goes</font>

If I could be serious for a minute, that was a pretty damn good show. Not once did I think I was wasting my time. All the matches were kind of sloppily thrown together, but my impatience in between PPVs curbed that right up. Tonight felt like a glimpse of things to come, the puzzle pieces are set. The John Cena/ Owens fight should have went on later in the show, but it was placed just right after finishing the whole PPV. My sons took in the show at the beginning with the Tag Chamber match and they popped for the spots. They had to go do shit after that, but they enjoyed what they saw. They were already pooped out cause I had them watch Summerslam 2003(just the Chamber match) and one episode of Attitude Era RAW. Pretty damn good card they had tonight. The crowd sucked shit, but that's alright

I really enjoyed that "live special." The Tag Team Title match made everyone look good. There was a bit of awkwardness with Kalisto and the "waiting for a guy to do stuff" vibe, but the dude is a gamer. Cesaro is a fucking freak. I haven't enjoyed The Prime Time Players as much as I did tonight. Darren Young worked hard and Titus came off like a beast when pissed. I can deal with them being immediate challengers to The New Day, although I'd rather issues develop between them and Cesaro & Kidd, only for their party to be crashed by Harper & Rowan -- Four-Way for Money in the Bank. Sin Cara also impressed me, The Ascension looked better than they ever had, and even Los Matadores had some fire.

Tag team wrestling matters to me after that.

The Divas match was kind of botched. I get what they are trying to do, but everyone basically has these forced characters shoved out there, and the raw emotion that the NXT girls have isn't there. Paige and Naomi probably should have just had a grudge match with Nikki watching on. This was spot, spot, spot and a lot of them looked like they hurt.

Cena and Owens tore it the fuck down. I haven't been too into Owens, but the man is fucking great. His promo work since he's started working with Cena has been harrowing. The man is a perfect foil for him. His clean win also imprints him on people's brains. He has what King Barrett lacks -- you believe him as a threat. Are they rushing the rematch? Hmm. It feels right. I do think it should be for the US Title now, but I think Owens will use that psychological edge on Cena in coming weeks. I'd be fine with both guys in Money in the Bank too. But it's happening, and I'm not going to whinge.

Bo Dallas and Neville actually impressed me. For his age, Bo gets a lot of things that a lot of performers never get. The psychology here was great, and this was never meant to steal the show. I want to see Bo in a feud he can win.

The IC Chamber was...I'm sorry, but it was boring. A lot of the guys that were in it being in it didn't make sense, and I don't know how I am meant to invest in R-Truth and Barrett. They win, they lose, they win, they lose. Why should I really care? Both are good performers, but Barrett should be above the IC Title at this point, and Truth has never really made a good stake to the title. Dolph Ziggler did what Dolph Ziggler does, but we've seen it so much that it's just his job to get beat down sometimes. He's also a guy that has won the IC Title so much that I don't care when he does it anymore. Sheamus is a great performer, but he feels above the title on so many levels, but an ill-fit anywhere else. He's almost like the Dudley Boyz were to me, in that he just hovers about. Henry became great, but he's almost a weird sort of credible novelty act at this point. Ryback winning was actually touching, and I want to get behind him as champ. At least he can say he won a Chamber now. I want to see him give open challenges and eventually move into a feud with Kevin Owens and/or John Cena. Curtis Axel should answer the first one. I also think that Ryback vs. Mark Henry, with Ryback beating Henry to remove the WrestleMania XXIX-sized chip on his shoulder would be a good story.

The main event was a fun match. I wasn't into it for some reason (I haven't really been watching), but I find Ambrose magnetic. Seth is so good at what he does, but he still seems like he should be the IC Champion or something. Everyone seems...on par when around him. I dunno. He doesn't feel like *the* guy, as stand-out as he is. But he and Ambrose tore it down, and the ending, even though you knew it was a false finish, made me mark out. A great way to keep the Ambrose express going, and he's hitting balls out of the park, so why let it stop? I like the "crazy face has the heel's championship" storyline anyway. Look for him to bribe Rollins into another match -- possibly a Ladder Match -- since MITB often has two of them.

As fucking superb as Lesnar is at being a beast, I kind of think his looming shadow keeps things annoyingly locked down. If there were no Lesnar, you'd have no clue where any of this was going, yet it has this weird stench of "place-warmer." Still, I hope Ambrose segues himself into a permanent main event role out of this. I'm still hoping for Triple H vs. Ambrose at SummerSlam.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah but it's stupid and arbitrary. Are we to assume the Authority are just sitting backstage picking people because they can do flippy stuff?

There are always going to be spot guys in MITB...but revealing it as they did is lazy. Still not sure what rationale they'd have to put Reigns or Orton in, for instance. <font color=goldenrod>At least you can sell the qualifying matches in a different way. The Authority can agree to let them try to qualify because they are "fair" but in actuality they can make them both go up against steep competition to earn their way in. At least that creates some semblance of a story as opposed to just throwing people in with no explanation because they've left themselves with 2 weeks between PPVs.

And supposedly there are going to be more than 6 participants in the match anyway. Will the rest have to qualify? If so, why did the men selected get an immediate bypass into the match but not the others? I know WWE is aware that its casual audience won't question it but it feels like a bit of a plot hole to me.</font>

Re watched Cena/Owens again. I think Lynch/Banks may have been a better match from a technical or "pure wrestling" match, but Cena/Owens keeps better on successive rewatches and edges it out when you take the story and drama into account. It's close; close enough that personal preference between technical wrestling versus drama will tip the scales one way or the other on which match is better.

This is what I've been saying. I said it when he won the title. He's not credible as champion (especially after we just had one of the more credible champions ever bringing the title's prestige back up to a whole new level). Outside of my personal thoughts on Rollins not having the larger than life character to be on top, he hasn't been booked as remotely credible. They made so much progress with Lesnar's reign in making the title look like something to covet and now they've gone backwards.

It doesn't help that John Cena is way more over and way more credible and holding a secondary title, thus making it seem like the World and US titles are practically interchangeable.

I really enjoy Seth's gimmick. The turn and alignment with The Authority was about as deep as you get in professional wrestling. I agree with all your other points though. Cena has made the US Title feel as important. The champion makes the championship.

An intentional flop? Slick Johnson was a well known heel ref.

There probably would have been MitB qualifiers if the match wasn't only two freaking weeks away.

Could do it on just one episode of RAW

But you still have to feature the WWE title, tag titles, Cena/Owens, Divas, etc.

Squeezing in six unrelated matches around that seems a bit much.

I'm not mad about it. Just trying to quell some of this aggression from people.

You can do all the qualifying matches you want, but the match will be the same regardless. Might as well just tell us the competitors up front and let them all try and look credible on the way.
