Recently, we have seen Daniel Bryan's career put in serious jeopardy as a result of his years in the ring and hard hitting style. We have also seen Tyson Kidd receive a career threatening spinal injury from an innocuous looking move, a freak accident.

When you think about just how easy it is to pick up a serious injury in the ring, did the two men in the title match go too far?

I am referring particularly to the powerbombs. I will admit to being pretty clueless on how certain moves should be taken, but there looked to be no safe way of taking those last night. I am sure he took all the precautions he could, but it looked like Ambrose ended up short both times and that any number of back, neck, tailbone, or even head injuries could have resulted from a slip or a random landing. It seemed to be up to chance.

Was it too far? It made me uncomfortable watching and wondering about how long guys like this will last if they are doing this 2 or 3 times a month to try and steal the show.

Nah. They did what they needed to do and it was awesome.

Truth be told, you can be fucked from the most basic scoop slam. Just "part of it" really.

Right. Look no farther than Rob Van Dam. During his ECW run as the TV champ, he jumped off of balconies, kicked chairs, and flipped all around and out of the ring during many a match. How did he get injured and shelved? A fucking baseball slide into the corner.

Now, do Rollins and Ambrose need to put themselves through that EVERY NIGHT, 300 NIGHTS A YEAR? Absolutely not. Do they need to go into the territory where, albeit awesome to watch, every encounter between them has to be a gimmick match (specifically thinking TLC, because Dudleys, Hardyz, and E&C) But they also shouldn't devolve into Ortonesque resthold fests because people are afraid they might get injured and make them boring to watch, and have people not care. These guys have to dance that line between safety and brutality.

Yeah. If they start doing stuff like that every night then it's a problem. But on the rare occasion to make a defining moment in the character of both men like last night was intended to be, it's fine.
