I don't want to include the indies because it's the indies, and I don't mean one match in particular. I mean someone who was horrible night in and night out.

My pick despite LOVING when he sang the Russian National Anthem, Nikolai Volkoff.

People don't realize this, but Nikolai debuted in the WWWF in the friggen 60's as one half of the Mongols tag team. By the 80's he was horrific. If he had to wrestle a larger opponent it was a shit show. I remember watching a match in 84 against Chief Jay Strongbow and it was atrocious. Strongbow was too heavy for Volkoff to do his backbreaker so he pinned him with a running/sort of jumping elbow drop, but Volkoff couldn't jump so it was almost like a baseball player sliding into home. I don't even think he connected with it. Lol he beat Swede Hanson with a stomp to the chest in a match. Fuck was he ever bad. How he got another run in the mid 90's is beyond me, because Volkoff was bad in the early 90's.

Randy Orton. :shifty:

I have to say Giant Gonzales/El Gigante. Lacked the presence of Andre, and was somehow less mobile. Not even Flair could make him watchable.

Male: Uncle Elmer

Oh fuck, Uncle Elmer was awful. Lol I remember his debut match against Tiger Cheung Lee. Elmer went to do a leg drop, got zero air, ended up stepping on Lee's face, and took 10 seconds to get up and make the pin because he was so fat.

this kid right out of the gate was pushed to the moon and put in main events. He was shitty before the toxic shock syndrome. After that he was 10 times worse.

also would mention Angelo Mosca Jr

This punk kid of Angelo Mosca's got pushed heavily in 1984 in Crockett Promotions. Angelo Jr was even Mid Atlantic Heavyweight champion.

Baron Mikel Scicluna in the early 80's was pretty brutal as well as was Dominic Denucci. I'm obsessed with WWF between 77-84 right now and my God some of the matches are so fucking bad.

Salvatore Bellomo has become a favourite and Dick Murdoch's work in 84 is so fucking great. Lol his facial expressions when he sells a punch are as good as Regal's. You could tell he was in his element. He could act like a cartoon character and it was encouraged. Surprise he left the company. He fit right in.

Seth82

Chief Jay Strongbow was brutal too.

Bad News Gertner
07-15-2015, 08:48 PM
Lol yeah his match with Volkoff was a fucking mess.

He wrestled Kamala in a match that I watched recently and my God.

Swede Hansen was pretty bad too between 82-84

Khali is a pretty solid pick. The man can barely move.

Khali and Giant Gonzalez probably take the cake because they could barely walk

Nathan Jones was able-bodied and terrible

Probably that 100 pound nothing Rockstar Spud. Not that TNA is a major promotion anymore or ever.

David Sammartino maybe if we're talking real league.

He's not the worst wrestler ever, but Vampiro's run in WCW in 2000 was one of the worst in-ring runs ever

This might be the worst match I've ever seen:

Actually after rewatching that Vampiro match I might say he's the worst ever

Legitimately terrified for both of them the entire time, especially with the Awesome Bomb off the top finish

Tennessee promoter Nick Gulas' son George was the absolute shits.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-C5E7iWevGbI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAASA/X5PoODdBcN4/photo.jpg

Nick pushed him so hard that it killed the Chattanooga-Nashville end of the Tennessee territory.

George was perhaps one of the worst if not the worst wrestler to ever lace a pair of boots.

Jerry Jarrett refused to book George as he knew it would kill business on the Memphis end quickly just as it had done for Nick and the Nashville-Chattanooga end.

No one in their right mind would ever buy George as a top babyface. He was no match for Memphis heels like Jerry Lawler, Mongolian Stomper and etc.

George teams with Rufus R. ''Freight Train'' Jones to take on Bobby Mayne (a young Bobby Jaggers) & Charlie Fulton

Can I choose Jenna Morasca?

I'd say Lacey Von Erich was worse. At least Jenna Morasca had no expectations put upon her. Lacey was bad with a family name.

Speaking of bad with a family name... Horace.

I'm surprised Eva Marie's name hasn't came up yet.

Volkoff is a great pick. I got a Mid South 84 set, and even then he was absolutely atrocious. The fact he was around in 94 is disgraceful.

Heidenreich deserves a mention. Watching him fail to put on a cobra clutch on Taker at the 2005 Rumble is one thing, but he has a PPV match with Orlando Jordan that was horrible beyond belief. Not all time worst but baaaaaad.

Felt bad for Mike Awesome in that match. Not the greatest worker by any means but he could go when it came down to it, and fuck Vampiro was just the drizzling shits, I don't think he did anything right the entire match. Doesn't have an athletic bone in his body.

The best Van Hammer story was when he was put into the Misfits in Action in 2000 and he complained about being Private Stash, not because the name was meant to be a blunt weed reference but because he didn't want to have the lowest ranking title in a completely fake militia.

This was just a buddy of Hogan who followed him around like a lost, talentless puppy.

He had a pretty ridiculous career, but had a decent enough run in the mid-late 80s before his horrible accident with matches that weren't COMPLETELY shit to warrant him not being the worst.

In saying that, he wasn't good.

The difference with Jones was that given time, he could have been HUGE..... Khali, Gonzalez, Nailz, etc. could never have been good, no matter how much training

Halloween Havoc 1990, Michael Hayes faked an injury to get out of working against him. Van Hammer proceeded to make that decision seem wise when he worked with a jobber and almost crippled him with a shit awful Slingshot Suplex.
