Ok basically im so sick of the wwe giving us the same shitty tag team matches every time. It's always 'face team gets off to good start, the heels then takeover for abit, the face then finally gets a tag after then heels have tagged for a while and then the other face of the team beats up the two heels like the other part of the match just meant nothing' that is just so f-ucking played now and one reason why the tag team division is so weak because once again the tag matches are boring as f-uck! Honestly, they could try and make the beginning of a tag team match mean something by perhaps selling the moves that happened earlier maybe? I dunno, but it just pisses me off every tag team match is the same ol' shit.
Whats your thoughts on this topic?Im interested if anyone has the same opinion as me...

I'm just dismayed at the lack of tag teams and the ascension of tandems.

Haas-Rico works, but...outside of the Bashams, the Dudleys, and La Resistance....there aren't really any bonafide tag teams. In '99-'01 or so, there were a good number of teams. Dudleys, Hardyz, E&C, Kaientai, APA, Too Cool...the list goes on.

Well, it's the Midnight Express formula...

^ maybe that has something to do with what im saying then. because there's no actual tag teams who have established themselves apart from the dudleyz, i guess this is the way tag team matches are gonna be for now, because no one these days in the wwe seems to know how to work them. It's funny because ive seen TNA-NWA tag team matches and they just seem to have better matches in the tag division for some reason.

Tag team matches have been the same for decades bro, ranting about it now won't change anything.

Yeah, I share the EXACT same opinion. But what can we really do? Every match is the exact same shyte (except for Haas and Rico, but they're a tidbit different than a conventional tag team ;)). I can't remember the last truly unique tag team in the wwe. Anybody got any thoughts?

I think the tag scenario has improved drastically in the last few monts. Rico-Haas, Kidman-London and RVD-Rey. What better teams could you hope for?

Eh, here's part of a post I made in the topic about how Smackdown could be made better....

A unique tag division... This is an idea I had a few weeks back, and while it's extremely unconventional, it might raise interest in the tag division... Make the tag titles both tag titles and single titles... While they would be defended in tag matches, and if a tag team lost, they would lose the titles, there would be a twist... The titles could be defended in a singles match, for example, Rico Vs Rey Mysterio... Mysterio wins, making him one half of the tag team champions, but Haas would still be the other half..... Hey, it could work, and it would make up for the lack of actual teams.

Following on from 'WWKD's' post, I also posted in the same thread, and here's my thoughts on how to improve the tag division on Smackdown.

8. Give the tag division something to get their teeth into.
Take the belts off the champs for some obscure reason and start a tournament. Get 8 tag teams together, and have matches every week to determine who the champs should be, and keep them as tag teams for at least 3 months, and have a couple of matches at least every show. Build and maintain a tag division, with EVERYBODY participating, Crusierweights, etc.

In all serious, I think if you were to take wrestlers and tell them that they are going to be in a tag tournament and league for the next 3 months, your partner is xxxxxxx, now go work out some moves together, then perhaps you would see some legitimate team-work, and not just ad-hoc teams for 3 TV-tapings, so we can get bods on TV.

It's not rocket science - there are plenty ways that they can do this right now, but it needs sustained support from the WWE Creative team, in order for it to work.

Just draw random workers into teams... it worked at WCW Starrcade 91 didn't it? :shifty:

I think all you need to do is give tag teams names to be honest.

I agree about how they follow the same formula every time, but seriously, you give a tag team a name, and they have an identity. Instead of Paul London and Billy Kidman, Rico and Haas, Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi, Edge and Chris Benoit (altho they will soon be separated)...give the teams names, and make them stay together for a while.

On a similar note, what would people think about Eugene and Regal tagging?
and btw, Dinsmore has a terrible look, is it done on purpose?

I know...

Why do they make Eugene look so retarded
