hey there,
I'm looking for best and the worst recoveries to the fuck ups in the ring. I know botchamainia focuses on the fuck ups but I wanna know which recoveries impressed you or made you roll your eyes.
For me, Kurt Angle trying to through Shane through the glass several times added to the match and made him look more sadistic.

By "recoveries", do you mean how the blown spot was played off like it wasn't botched, or how someone got hurt and recovered from their injury?

I think probably the former

yes I meant covering up the botch and moving on in the match. Sometimes they just repeat the exact same spot which looks really bad, like when Jericho had someone in the Walls and randy Ortons RKO didn't affect him - so they did it again.

I came in here to post that exact moment involving Jericho/Orton. One of the best things I have ever seen.

Vince McMahon sitting down in the middle of the ring, after fucking his legs up running down the ramp, barking orders at John Cena and Batista as if that's exactly what he intended to do is one of my favourite wrestling moments.

I suppose it depends how you define botch too, is it just a mistake or is it when something outside of the wrestlers control goes wrong. Mankind and Undertaker and the likes of Terry Funk and JR all did their part to make Mankind's fall through the cell seem like a shocking moment and a ruthless and vicious Undertaker when they were probably all scared to death. Dunno if it was a botch by definition, but as far as things which make "botchamania", it def would be (they have ropes snapping and mics cutting etc...)
I remember Funk steaming in and taking a chokeslam to try to buy Foley time. The very best recoveries are probably ones like those where there is still some debate about what was intentional and what wasnt. Fact was it was a bad mistake that could have finished the match and his career, but it ended up playing a major part in his push towards becoming a world champion.

One of the best has to be Sid at WM8 kicking out of Hogans leg drop. He was supposed to lose by DQ but Papa Shango didn't make it to the ring in time to break the count so Sid improvised.

Eddie had a match with Billy Gunn once and Billy was really fucking up. Eddie tried to put him in he lasso from El Paso and I don't know what the fuck gunn was thinking, he was just rolling around and couldn't get himself to flop over for the move. Cole and Tazz saved it by putting over Billy's leg strength and such, always throught that was a cool cover-up/recovery.
