There is no competition for the company right now, and the network up and sustained, would they be wise to skip a non big 4 ppv in 16 to focus on writing and storylines with build?

The ppv between rr and wm has gotten to be a nuisance because there has to be created drama about the rr winner putting his title shot on the line.

Pre mnw era there would be months between ppvs and what fans are loving right now about nxt is that the storylines have time and room breathe and grow.

Would it be too much $ lost to do so?

They're all about doing more special events not less

I think they'd benefit by cutting down to 8 specials or ppvs per year. The amount they have now is mind numbing. You can barely get a decent build going because you have a pay off match in 4 weeks. Not only that, because you're filling 12 months of ppvs, programs get old fast. Obviously they can't cut it down to just the big 4 anymore. But going down to 8 still gets plenty of shows in without over doing feuds and programs.

Should get rid of the 1-2 ppvs that only get 2 weeks of building because of scheduling reasons.

WWE likes to do 13 ppvs normally because it breaks down well into the 4 week model for builds but the problem is they also like to give the Rumble and/or Mania extra weeks which causes later ppvs to be rushed for builds.

8-10 sounds right built around the big 4

I like the idea of turning some of the PPV's into NXT PPV's, and cutting the WWE 12 (13? 14? 15 this year?) into 8-10. Seems like that could be spaced out to provide relief.

I'd skip the ppv before WM (Fast Lane?) and just go from RR straight to WM.

That is my main one to cancel jazzy is between rr and mania. Add a big nxt event in february to showcase them. Id also love to see king of the ring in june winner get a guaranteed title shot at summerslam

That's the only one I could see them taking away. A big NXT show in February that would be their Wrestelmania would be cool in that spot. The Fast lane PPV just feels like a filler PPV just to get to WM anyway so getting rid of it would be pretty easy, and create a bigger build for the Rumble winner as he wouldn't have to wait and see if the champion retained at Fast lane or not.

I think they could keep the February PPV, but don't put any titles on the line. Have some big tag team grudge matches with all of the people who will eventually be feuding. Give a little teaser to Wrestlemania.

An nxt February event could be a good mania build to where you do a girl match and winner gets to faces divas champ.at mania. And a number one contender match for nxt title at mania.

With a lot of people getting the network wwe should put more stress on their major ppvs, and use the other ones to hype the big ones. Cutting back the number of events isn't a good idea, but it's not a bad one either.

I'd love if they just had like 6 PPVs a year and 2-hour Raws

but they'd prolly lose way too much money doing that

Removing the December PPV would be cool. Just have a "Brock Lesnar" special.

They should probably do more to make the Network more special. Obviously you don't want to burn-out your fanbase, but I don't really see how cutting down on big events during a month is going to attract people to a PPV you are selling monthly subscriptions to. I wouldn't be purposely running anymore shows, but I think they should be finding ways to make them special and get them on the WWE Network (like the Madison Square Garden show).

They could probably run Night of Champions with just the title matches that the PPV name implies, and then do a different network special with your more personal matches stemming from the PPV -- John Cena & Sting vs. Triple H & Seth Rollins; Reigns, Ambrose & partner vs. The Wyatt Family; Ziggler vs. Rusev; Lana vs. Summer; etc.
