Have to say I enjoyed the main event greatly. Rollins and Cena put on another stellar show, and Cena winning hopefully means more US open matches with someone actually getting a rub this time.

Thought the way they started the Sting match was brilliant, with Rollins having zero left in the tank, until a fairly clever and good looking table spot evened the odds.

Also gotta say I feel bad for Sting. Second time he's gone out and given a good showing, but he clearly looked seriously injured after the second turnbuckle power bomb. Maybe the dive did some harm as he was slow to get up, but that second power bomb did him in. The inside cradle finish was a good choice. Give Rollins a squeaky clean win but in unconvincing fashion.

Hope Sting is ok. Cageside seats reporting he was banged up and it may be pretty serious. Wonder what it could've been. I was immediately thinking cracked or broken ribs.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken ribs and/or some sort of internal injury. Rewatching the table spot makes it look brutal as fuck, and the way he took that turnbuckle powerbomb was pretty harsh too.

After the first power bomb, you can see him (Sting) shaking out his hands and clenching his fists, as if he's trying to get feeling back. Just seeing that, and now knowing he had to take the spot a second time, just makes me respect the man even more. He's south of 60 taking brutal table bumps, top rope spots and power bombs that ended up injuring him to the point of delaying the match, all just to put over the young kid clean.

In terms of possible injuries sustained, I thought maybe concussion, but he didn't seem loopy. Just gassed.

first thought last night was that Sting may have gotten a mild stinger (hur hur) given how his body just basically stopped working as soon as he hit the buckles, which given what Meltzer apparently said afterwards may have been the case. Shame as they were just starting to "get it together" match wise, think the crowd would really have come up for the finish if it hadn't been for the momentum break.
