The latest episode of Reality of Wrestling, featuring yours truly in the main event against the guy I had by first televised match with over a year ago. I got new "pants" (gear) since I'd lost so much weight since I originally got the black ones made. I think these look a lot more slimming and make me look taller/ leaner
Why do they keep pushing that black guy?
He's whack.

There's a few reasons I'm sure they're pushing him. One, he is very animated in the ring and that gets him over with the live crowds. He works very hard at training and helping however else possible. That "striking style" is very in right now, plus the fact that he isn't very big makes it very easy to make him an "underdog" face against majority of opponents.
What do you believe are you chances making it to NXT?
Well, here's the thing, I have ALOT more of a chance than most indie workers out there. I'm a big guy, young, athletic, I wrestle a "tv style", I'm on tv every week and the fact that Booker T is my trainer are all things in my favor...... with that all said, it's still a VERY small chance. If I make it cool, if not.... I still got you guys

ever rko an opponent
you still look uncomfortable/almost nervous. First thing the little guy is does is give you (the big guy) a wrist lock and you ACTUALLY SELL IT, just throw the elbow straight in his face. Don't sell so much, why would people buy into a menacing giant if every shot from a guy that looks like he's climbed out of the audience/looks just like themselves gives you looks like it's really doing damage/hurting you? You don't see Brock drop to his knees a minute into a match, no matter what he gets hit with. Nor on his back as you were straight after, still a minute or so into the match (I'm writing as I watch this) you could have cut out most of that stuff (namely his offence) before the sleeper/throw him off spot. It doesn't need to be so "7 deadly steps" in terms of shine, cutoff, heat etc, the small babyface should be fighting from underneath pretty much the whole time, big man vs. little man is the easiest thing to do in all of wrestling. They've already seen you can be knocked around/hurt/taken off your feet, it doesn't really matter how much he bumps for you/if you throw him around/get your shit in after.
In short: it was a big guy/little guy match and the little guy had most of the offence. When you're being put over as "nearly 7 feet tall" you need to protect yourself/your heat, you shouldn't have been giving him anywhere near that much (unless the plan was to make you look like shit, which I doubt was the case) you have to stand up for yourself and speak up, take charge of a match, that match should have been all you in terms of leading the match, in terms of offence etc. You even see it on TV in WWE, TNA etc, from top to bottom, guys selling for way too long and then wondering why nobody really gives a shit about them. People aren't going to buy you as a giant just because you try and walk like one.
That said your gear is much better now (a huge plus), definitely suits you more and there didn't really seem to be anything wrong with what you were doing when you did it.

This is harsh but fair criticism. I think you have tons of potential, but the things I saw wrong with the match are exactly the same as CSL has brought up here (I just didn't want to shit on your parade lol) . I love all of your improvements and love your enthusiasm and work ethic, but you need to kick the piss out of that little jobber, you're huge. You need to wrestle like you're huge. If little job squads don't like it, tell them to try do something about it in the ring, because you need to keep your heat.
They are billing you as a big man, so wrestle like a big man.

Well, I didn't want to say it but I will say it, this isn't your average indie show at the local VFW Hall/ Flea Market show, it's tv. I'm told you go ___ mins long, they tell me what they want match wise, and I "fill in the rest". They tell me give him an opening shine.... If I said, well no Booker, I wanna beat the shit out of him for 10 mins like Brock does. I would be back on the local VFW Hall shows, not positively featured on a televised wrestling show every week.
no, you can give him an "opening shine" without taking a beating/coming off your feet/selling so much. The second your shoulders hit the floor like a minute in, I lost all interest in the match. The other guy didn't help at all, a wrist lock was the very first thing he did but you need to fuck that straight off, giving him a certain amount of shine doesn't mean you HAVE to sell any old shit that he throws at you, just do what makes sense. If he winds up looking like shit because of it, that's his fault for not knowing how to work that kind of match properly. You have to protect yourself because from WWE down to the aforementioned flea market shows, guys will take advantage whether they mean to or not, whether they're trying to make themselves look good at whatever cost to you or whether they're simply too fucking clueless to know what to do and when to do it. You have to look out for you and if you do you your part right and the other guy does his right, everything will come together easily. If it doesn't come together but you've at least done your part and protected yourself, the only person that stands to look like shit is the other guy and they will only have themselves to blame.

The kick the leg out/ superkick is something he uses as a nearfall/ set up for his finisher. Technically, I timbered on that and went down to a knee when I got kicked in the face but I didn't take a full bump until a missile off the top.
Even if you look at the Rollins/ Kane match this past PPV, Kane bumped for him multiple times in the match (even with the same type of size difference). That's the way it's suppose to be in a "televised title match", it's supposed to be competitive despite the size difference. Which is why he took the arm, I "registered it", then with one elbow he was knocked to the ground (same with the headlock).
just because it is "something he uses as a nearfall/setup for his finisher" doesn't mean you have to take it or he has to do it successfully in every single match. That is the definition of the ever groan inducing "I've gotta get my shit in". And you mean the established wrestler of nearly 20 years Kane who has been beaten more times than Tina Turner who was working babyface against the heel WWE champion on PPV? The two things aren't remotely comparable from even the very basics of the match itself. Go back to Kane in 1997, the "we're trying to establish him" Kane, when he was trying to get over as a big monster so he could be in a position to make money and sell tickets. Go and check out how he sold, how many bumps he took and when he took them. Obviously it's far from WWE and on a much smaller scale but that's a lot more representative of where you currently are from a character/trying to establish yourself point of view.
I'm not trying to give you shit here, I'm just repeating things I've learned/been told/listened to and witnessed a bunch of times. Fuck me, if you have access to Booker T, I'm pretty sure he'd tell you something pretty similar and explain it much better in person.

Well, just so you know, Booker came up with that opening spot. Arm wrench, elbow out, work to a corner, kick kick kick, up and over, kick kick kick. He had no complaints to the match..... Bruce Pritchard (former higher up for both WWE and TNA, now working with ROW) told me the match was great, no complaints.
I think you're looking at it in the sense of "Monster vs Random Jobber #432" and that wasn't the case at all. This is the man I've been feuding off and on with since my debut for ROW, now it's a title match on a televised main event.
It doesn't "kill my size" to be kicked in the face and go to a knee. Looking at professional wrestling today, big men are expected to sell for guys regardless of the size difference. Konnor will take a hurricanrana from Kalisto, Luke Harper will take arm drags from the Usos, Rusev will get Irish whipped by Ziggler.... Hell, Neville hit his delayed deadlift german suplex on Owens when Owens was the "Unstoppable force of NXT". Selling for your opponent doesn't kill the match, to quote Ricky Steamboat, you can never sell too much for your opponent (in regards to being asked "how much should a wrestler sell durring a match?" at a seminar)

It's not even about that, I just don't see selling appropriately for someone in a main event title match. You're a big guy Lock, do you sell for someone if you're the heel and they're a face champion? Do you let them hit their "signature moves" in a way that makes sense?

i agree. A heel is supposed to put over the face at all costs. Have to be unselfish to be a true heel. Think it should be a slower build to the selling. Build up the suspense about how hard it is to take down Parvis. Then it's a big deal when the guy does it. If you just are taking his stuff like its a powerful force at the start it makes you look weaker and doesn't build him up to having done something awesome.
