I just bought a game and I didnt realize it was DVD format until I opened it.

Is there any way to play it without having a DVD player on the PC?

The only way I can think of is:

a) Use someone's PC with a DVD drive, make an image of it, split the image up and burn it onto several CDRs, then put the image back on your pc as a full file then use a Virtual DVD Drive to play it.

b) Buy a DVD Drive

Might be an easier way, not sure.

You could try downloading WinISO and making an ISO of the CD on your harddrive and get Daemon Tools (D-Tools) and just playing it from the virtual drive. Will take up a lot of space though. :-\ But after you get it installed you could always get a no-cd crack and just delete the ISO and D-Tools if you'd like.

But his CD-ROM drive won't be able to recognise the DVD Disc to make an image.

Yeah, But I wanted the game.

Plus, I had been wanting to get a DVD player for the PC so I got it.
