The Shield debuted by helping CM Punk retain the title against Cena and Ryback. They explained their actions the next night by saying they were there to fix injustices.

Days after that they attacked Santino and Zack Ryder... Fixing all the injustices those two comedy jobbers were responsible for apparently...

Eventually it was revealed that they were likely just hired by Paul Heyman to protect CM Punk which would have made them attacking Ryder and Santino make even less sense.

Eventually The Shield actually got over because they were impossible to beat. For some reason, WWE actually realized the old school logic of "if you make heels hard to beat, people will be emotionally invested in their matches" works. With that ridiculously simple booking logic, they were able to overcome the retarded booking that preceded it. But my mind still goes to that a lot as an example of WWE's shitty logic in writing storylines.

This rant is probably a better fit for another thread but slik's post just lead me to the thought that WWE really needs to plan out what the fuck they're writing and putting on television before they write it. They really should write out stories as opposed to nightly events with the idea of "We'll book this to happen tonight and then we'll think of a reason tomorrow. Or we won't. Either way. Whatever."

* Seth Rollins can talk. I wish they'd let him go more true to his persona in his promo. I think if he got talking points, he could really deliver.

* I actually think that Ambrose might end up in the Survivor Series title match. What did Reigns do to earn his title shot? He won at Hell in a Cell and then beat Kevin Owens. Ambrose's match was scrapped at Hell in a Cell...and then he pinned Kevin Owens. They might just be setting up for an IC Title match, but I think they could segue Ambrose in there and create tensions between the two.

* I think CyNick is actually right in Rollins finally growing balls. It's more to do with the erratic nature of the WWE's storytelling than an actually good story arc though.

Was genuinely surprised and pleased by how the Lucha Dragons/Barrett & Sheamus match went. I'm a Hunico mark, so I liked that he got to show what he can do here. Kalisto has got that "Wow!" factor that legitimately reminds me of Rey Mysterio. They have something in him, but shouldn't jam him down people's throats.

The Dragons got hyped beforehand, the match got time with multiple heat segments, and the faces earnt victory. I still have no idea what they are meant to represent as characters, but this was a definite start to rehabbing them.

Days after that they attacked Santino and Zack Ryder... Fixing all the injustices those two comedy jobbers were responsible for apparently...

Eventually it was revealed that they were likely just hired by Paul Heyman to protect CM Punk which would have made them attacking Ryder and Santino make even less sense.

Eventually The Shield actually got over because they were impossible to beat. For some reason, WWE actually realized the old school logic of "if you make heels hard to beat, people will be emotionally invested in their matches" works. With that ridiculously simple booking logic, they were able to overcome the retarded booking that preceded it. But my mind still goes to that a lot as an example of WWE's shitty logic in writing storylines.

This rant is probably a better fit for another thread but slik's post just lead me to the thought that WWE really needs to plan out what the fuck they're writing and putting on television before they write it. They really should write out stories as opposed to nightly events with the idea of "We'll book this to happen tonight and then we'll think of a reason tomorrow. Or we won't. Either way. Whatever."

I think it's more logical booking than good. Good booking would be taking said pipe bomb and building to a match long term.Like Paige taking out the other divas she verbally eviscerated first, then taking out Charlotte. Second, why kill the whole division? At this point the priority should be to establish Charlotte as a dominant champion. Paige isn't even the biggest money match you can book. It's likely Charlotte v Banks down the line (maybe at Mania). Then if Bayley gets over, she can come in as the person who beat Banks in NXT and will do the same in WWE.

But you also need the other girls to fill the gaps between those major programs. If Paige just cuts through everyone, well then you're saying Paige and Charlotte are clearly #1 and #2 and the other girls are cannon fodder. When Charlotte v Paige is done, what do you have left to go to?

If WWE had a roster of 15-20 Divas, you could have Paige kill some jobber girls, but they dint really have that luxury.

My only problem with Paige is she cut that promo and then a week later recants on it and wants to be back with PCB. Its dumb, when she cut that promo she should have become a loner diva just pissing everyone off. Honestly I'd rather see Paige in a feud with Becky for a while before going after Charlotte. Agree to disagree, I thought it was ideal booking.

I wasn't a huge fan of Paige pretending to make up with them. Well rather I didn't like that Becky and Charlotte trusted her and ultimately look dumb. But that's a minor detail. Point is they got to a match with decent heat between two girls who can have a good match. I'm looking forward to seeing the match at SS.

One thing to keep in mind, the girls are rarely going to get multiple matches on a PPV. It's like the tag division, you don't see many PPV tag team programs outside the title. So in a way anything on PPV really needs to focus on the title. The TV feuds are different because they have more time to fill.

Ppv time is just as long if not longer than tv tapings. They have enough time to feature several women's matches. They just choose not to. It's more lack of interest or perceived interest than anything else.

The title should be the primary focus but not the sole focus. They have enough depth and time to feature more than one angle running simultaneously.

It's tough. I've talked about this before. Most months you have 7 matches on a Network Special. Assuming a Divas match and a tag match, that's 5 matches left. Hard to imagine a scenario where Paige vs Natty is worth pushing off say the US or IC title program.

Not to say it can't be done. If they had the right matches, I would be fine with multiple Divas matches on a show. I just don't think someone like Natty who is not exactly a mainstay on RAW justifies that spot. Could i see a day where Paige vs Bayley and Charlotte vs Banks matches are on the same show, sure could.

Why would you push off the IC or US spots on the card? They're are 5 titles, you wouldn't be pushing anyone off a card. That gives you 5 title matches and 2 non title matches. Why not just split those 2 matches into one for men one for women. Plus there is always the preeshow. Plenty of room on PPV cards for 2 divas matches but the current presentation of the Divas really doesn't warrant 2 PPV matches at this time.

I can still pretty vividly recall the days when it wasn't uncommon to see most PPV's feature 8 matches on the main card, plus a match on Heat, and sometimes as many as 12 matches on a WM card...like x8 for example. Anybody go to that one? Legit curious.
