One of the greatest gifts to wrestling. Glad I got to see him in the AWA. Another legend gone away.....this is getting kinda hard!

What a giant! I'll always remember his tag team with Rocky. One of the first big man-small man teams. God speed.

Tremendous heel. Leading the way for great heels based on the brains vs. Brawn. Figured this was coming I heard he was dealing with Dementia. Very sad his greatest gift was taken away from him in the later years of his life.

He was only a few short weeks from what would've been his 81st birthday. I remember him being inducted into the WWE HoF Class of 2007. He will definitely be missed.

Made an appearance for WWE one time back in 2009, serving as a lumberjack for a "legends lumberjack match featuring Christian v. Ted DiBiase, Jr.

Without a doubt one of the most overlooked heels in history. Wish he had had a significant role in the early WWF days; if they weren't hellbent on booking behemoths to face Hogan they could have had a great run.
Also just going to leave this here:

Nick Bockwinkel for my money was on par with or possibly greater than Ric Flair.
I was away all day yesterday from the net. I didn't find out about this til today.
People need to go back and watch his matches & promos to see why he was truly one of the best.
My favorite line of his was about the Memphis fans after it appeared he had lost the AWA belt to Jerry Lawler - these cretinous humanoids who suffer from cranial anal impaction six and a half days out of the week

Was surprised not to see Paul Lynde as center square. Was he busy with other things when this was filmed?
