Brad Maddox FIRED from WWE for 'profane language' [Archive]

Brad Maddox has been released by WWE.

PWI reports that the word coming from WWE is that they released him because they were not happy with the language he used during his promo prior to his dark match that took place prior to Tuesday’s Smackdown tapings. Apparently the company was not happy with him saying “cocky pricks” in his promo.

Officials made the call to release him immediately after the promo.

Maddox definitely has a charisma about him. It's a shame that we won't soon see any of it flourish. The position they had him in as interim GM makes me think that they saw something too, but the dots just weren't connecting. Best of luck to him.

I think it was more of "early spring cleaning" than anything he did in particular. RAW's doing horrible in the ratings, I expect a lot of releases to be coming up soon (think about last year when like 14 people were released when the stock dropped)

Rather than saying the actual words he should have just emphatically presented his own cocky prick in some sort of crotchward chopping action. Kinda like that other authority figure guy. Could even pepper it with a PG line, such as "Put this in your mouth!", just for family friendly emphasis.
