View Full Version : Who do you want to win the Royal Rumble and face ****** at WrestleMania 32?
HHH/Vince and good storytelling have done more to get Roman over the last 24 hours than the entire previous year. Who do you want to see in the main-event of WM32 in front of 100,000 fans?

Cena would be interesting for the crowd reaction alone.
Honestly, assuming they were actually able to keep this momentum going to WrestleMania, I'm not sure who they would be able to put him with that wouldn't be counter-productive for his character. Brock would be a good story but he'd take most of the crowd. Unfortunately there isn't a single heel on the roster who is credible enough to main event WrestleMania as a challenger other than Triple H and that match just seems TOO predictable.
I guess I'd just go with Cena or Lesnar and hope they can keep pushing Reigns right so that the crowd isn't just waiting to shit on him.

Ambrose would be an interesting choice, although they wouldn't do that given his fragile state with fans.
Undertaker would also be interesting, but again, fan reaction wouldn't allow it.
Bray Wyatt could be intriguing if he got a few bigs wins between now and then, but then that has been done recently.
Would love Kevin Owens to do it, but probably too early for him and he doesn't have enough momentum.
It really only leaves Cena or Lesnar, or if they held off on HHH until the event.
Heel Batista possibly?

If they go Ambrose, they could do Reigns v.s. Ambrose and loser gets custody of the Usos for a year. You have to groom and paint them, take them to their appointments, make sure they're fed.
Ambrose not coming out to help Reigns pretty much sealed it for me, it was the seed planted in a potential slow burn to the WWE HW Title babay

Would like to see Brock win it but not as a plant for the Authority. Cena would be great if he came back mad at Reigns for going to far disrespecting Vince. If Cena beat Reigns at RR and Brock won the Rumble that could set up Cena/Lesnar for Mania. Could have HHH cost Reigns his rematch at Fastlane to set up HHH/Reigns.

The Authority's newest member Fandango would beat Reigns at the Rumble for the title to set up the greatest ever Dance Off match at Mania.

I feel like Cena/Reigns with a proper build would keep most of the crowd interested.
Still better than the Batista/Orton match that was meant to main event WM30 before the Yes Movement took over. Fully convinced the arena would have been mostly empty by the time that match started.

If there was any a time to have Cena turn, the time is now. Reigns needs a legit foil to overcome that can cement him as the man. Cena is that guy, far and away.
I'd have Cena come back, and on his first night, staking his claim in the Rumble, stating he's still the face that runs the place. Cue Roman, who claims WWE is now his empire. Tease a conflict between the two but have them show mutual respect.
During the road to the Rumble, Cena and Hunter have several verbal exchanges, with Hunter warning Cena that Roman is now taking his spot. He warns a confident Cena that Hunter himself felt the same way ten years ago, when a young John Cena tapped him out on the biggest stage of them all. Cena shows signs of doubt.
Hunter continues to plant doubt, telling Cena he's not a young man anymore, and that hustle, loyalty and respect can't cut it at this stage of his career, and that a more cerebral approach is needed to survive. Cena, showing a bit more doubt, claims he'll dance with what brung him.
Hunter continues to court Cena, offering him a chance to cement his legacy and become champion again, joining Flair in immortality. Hunter even offers Cena the Mania main event, without having to win the Rumble, with the winner getting their match at Extreme Rules, with the agreement that he becomes the face of the Authority. Cena again declines, harking back to the tradition of the Rumble and rattling off legends who earned their way into the main event.
Rumble comes. Cena enters early on, and dominates early on. But he starts wearing down. The toll of being the man for over a decade sets in during the Rumble, and Cena is being dominated, holding on to a spot for dear life. Near the end, it's Ambrose and Cena. Ambrose has the advantage. Cena cannot keep pace with the lunatic fringe. The Authority, Hunter specifically, comes out. As Ambrose and Cena teeter over the top, Hunter hits the ring, and hold Cena in place while Ambrose falls to the floor. Cena, stunned, has his hand raise by Hunter, in disbelief of how he just won his third rumble match. He shoves Hunter, and the two tease engaging, but Cena walks off, distraught, disgusted.
The build to Mania focuses on Cena proving once again he's still the man, and that Roman will fall to the first real challenge he's faced since winning the title. Reigns meanwhile claims it's over for Cena, and he will grab the torch from Cena's hands after beating him down for good at Mania.
The match takes place, and despite his best efforts, Cena can't get the upper hand. Roman is bigger, stronger, faster, hungrier. Cena users veteran know-how to keep pace, but he can see the end is coming.
Cena counters a spear into an stf. Reigns powers out with ease, and suplexes a helpless Cena across the ring.
In desperation, Cena pulls the ref in front of him to avoid a spear. Cena now shows signs of desperation, as he retrieves the title belt, and teases hitting Reigns.
The hesitation costs him, as Reigns hits a spear before Cena can pull the trigger. With the ref down, Hunter comes sprinting to the ring to try and revive the ref. As soon as he hits the ring, he eats a spear from Reigns. Cena takes advantage, and waffles Roman with the belt. The ref slow counts a 2, with Reigns kicking out at the last second. Distraught, Cena lifts Reigns up for the AA. Reigns beats another slow 2 count. Cena is in shock. He cannot win.
Hunter comes to, and Cena looks down to him, seemingly heart broken, and nods his head. Hunter smirks, and does the same, followed by taking out the ref. Hunter removed his dress shirt to reveal a ref shirt underneath. He and Cena go to town on Reigns, who fights them off into Cena hits him several times with a chair. Hunter hits the pedigree. Cena, looking into the hard cam, a broken, beaten, desperate man, hits the AA, and Hunter counts the 3. Cena wins. Cena turns.

I don't think there's a close third after those two. WWE DESPERATELY needs to build up a credible main event heel.

The plus after such a dastardly and bah GAWD vile turn is you can have Cena pretty much heel it up all the way to Summer Slam, where you get the inevitable rematch that was held off on and Reigns finally goes over the top guy. Feel like Cena needs one big turn before calling it a day.

Maybe Triple H but feels like he'd need to go full on Corporation mode and that would mean to get weaker as a character. The reason it worked with Vince was solely due to numbers game and Vince wanting Austin gone at all costs even if it meant he'd have to get hurt or be embarrassed to get the job done.
Bray should have been one by now had the WWE not bungled whenever he was gaining real momentum as a heel. Owens probably has a legit chance to be the next mega heel but he needs more time.

They can manufacture that type of heel with the right guy/booking. AKA insanely credible monster heel who gets so over he becomes a special attraction. The guy doesn't have to be Lesnar 2.0. Just have a monster character who doesn't lose monthly and actually builds an aura around him.

Curtis Axel, he's still in from 2015 so he should be the first person in the ring, and be eliminated only to return as a entrant in the 2016 Royal Rumble and wins the whole thing proceeds to Wrestlemania and takes the WWEWHC off that phony Roman Reigns.

Brock Lesnar and John Cena are the only two that really feel "Mania-level." Reigns vs. Triple H would work if it were away from the title. Reigns vs. Cena works, but there isn't that fresh "special" match for Brock. As CyNick said, Reigns vs. Lesnar leaves Cena vs. Taker on the table. If they decide to go with Reigns vs. Triple H away from the title, then Cena vs. Brock works as a title match as well.
Mr. Nerfect

Heel Cena vs. Face Brock would technically be the best thing the WWE could put forward.
