Smackdown spoilers for 1/28/16

Dark Segment:
* The Owen Family held a protest outside the arena over Owen White's recent firing. White handed out "White Section" flyers for people to hold up during the show in support only for everyone to discard it in a nearby recycling bin instead. Protest ended when Vince suddenly showed up and yelled it wasn't the time for them to appear yet. Vince likely mistook the Owen Family for his hobo army.


Smackdown:
* Neville vs. Kalisto for the WWE United States Title will take place tonight

* WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day are out to start the show. Francesca 2 is over. The Miz joins them and they all rag on The Rock until The Usos interrupt. This segment leads to a match

* Dolph Ziggler, Titus O'Neil and The Usos defeated The Miz and The New Day

* Kalisto retains the WWE United States Title over Neville

* The Highlight Reel with Roman Reigns and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose is interrupted by The Wyatt Family. Tonight's main event is made - Chris Jericho, Reigns and Ambrose vs. The Wyatts

* AJ Styles defeated Curtis Axel with the Styles Clash after the Social Outcasts called him out

* WWE Divas Champion Charlotte with Ric Flair defeated Natalya in a non-title match. After the match, Charlotte beats Natalya down until Becky Lynch makes the save

* Backstage segment with Sasha Banks apparently splitting from Tamina Snuka and Naomi, saying she's done with them

* Segment from earlier today with Goldust still trying to talk R-Truth into forming a tag team

* Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper ends in a DQ when Braun Strowman interferes. The Wyatts beat on the babyfaces until Big Show runs down for the save. They take turns on Show and SmackDown ends with The Wyatts standing over Big Show

Think every main event match since the move to USA Network has ended in a DQ or non-finish so far.

Main Event:
“You Can’t Wrestle” chant when Breeze was on offense

Smackdown:
Ambrose gave Jericho some crappy looking flowers for some reason. The two men made fun of Jericho’s cheap Highlight Reel set/furniture.

Reigns put over how he and Ambrose started together in a warehouse in Tampa years ago. Jericho tried to stir up trouble between Reigns and Ambrose which they both no sold. They transitioned in to talking about Brock Lesnar. Ambrose put over Brock but said he isn’t afraid of anyone. Reigns said he was in the ring with Lesnar and told Dean it wasn’t like facing anyone else. Ambrose told Reigns he didn’t have to beat Brock, he just had to beat him. Reigns told Dean that he’s never beaten him before so good luck.

The Social Outcasts cut a promo in the ring. They complained about AJ Styles getting more attention on Twitter and Raw than them. Curtis Axel is pissed because AJ ended his 364 day run in the Royal Rumble and challenged him to come on down and face the “Ax Man”

The Wyatts dominated after the match and ganged up on Roman in the ring. Big Show’s music hit to a loud/surprising pop. Show took out Rowan on the outside and then got in the ring face to face with Strowman. Harper and Bray attacked from behind and they all ganged up on Big Show. Reigns, Amrose, and Jericho all made a comeback and the faces cleared the Wyatts from the ring. They all celebrated while Reigns’ music played to end the taping.

Read the Main Event spoilers and its seems like a pretty good show. Had Owens vs Swagger in about a 16 minute match and Ryback vs Rusev w/Lana in a match that went about 15 it said. Also had Breeze vs Henry where the You cant wrestle chants happened. Might have to check it out.

The WWE Universe doesn't deserve Tyler Breeze. Just because he is a heel character doesn't mean that he can't wrestle. That's the type of heat that a person doesn't want so fuck those idiots for not knowing better. Chant shit like " you aint pretty" or "go fuck yourself'...but not he can't wrestle.....he CAN wrestle.

Axel clearly forgot he was only eliminated this year and not in 2015, and should've jumped right back in the ring. If he had been eliminated a second time, then he'd have a point.

But as it is AJ vs. Axel shouldn't be too bad, even if the wrong guy is going over.

I love the idea of Goldust and Truth. Truth, I'm not sure why, is still really over and sometimes can be pretty funny. And goldy of course shines when he gets to mix comedy into his wrestling. The tag division could use some fresh faces and it's not like either guy is working past the undercard very often..so why the heck not give it a shot!

I always thought that Tyler Breeze as a gimmick would be a good fit for the main roster, but I didn't account for Tyler Breeze the wrestler not being a good fit for the main roster. You could give the gimmick to someone like Fandango and it would be getting more air-time.

The way the show has a focus on wrestling now, has a commentator that calls the moves and Lawler heeling if up, I wonder if Vince has taken a step back from Smackdown to focus fully on Raw and PPVs. As long asas the story beats are hit as Vince wants them, everything else feels like a different reality.

Times like this are when I wish Vince would realize and admit he fired J.R. over some really petty-ass bullshit, hire him back to join Mauro and Lawler for SD! commentary, and let Byron be a backstage interviewer. I cringe whenever King says "M.R." as a reference to J.R.

The idea of this commentary almost makes me want to watch SmackDown. I don't get why they have Byron Saxton there though. Mauro and King on SmackDown and Mauro and Zeb Colter on Main Event or something.
