Oh my...... that is pretty bad.
He should have blades it wouldnt have looked so fake
If you hadn't known it was fake blood, would you still have complained? I don't recall any "looked so fake" comments last night.
I fell asleep
an actual exchange that took place in the last 20 minutes
if I shit in my own hand and threw it at my keyboard, the result would be more intelligent posts than Droford's on this page

Think Charlotte has a very weird "cadence" when speaking, but I do generally like her....
She is commanding when she speaks unlike every other diva. She is believable in this role of cocky asshole

There's a lot to be said for nostalgia, but their nostalgia is stuck in a very specific, very small, window that's getting further and further away. The Attitude Era cannot be allowed to be the be-all and end-all, but between fawning Network pieces, DVDs, and the nature of their Wrestlemania "dream matches", that's what they've turned it in to. What stars have they created since then that they could conceivably bring back to anything like the reaction that Shane McMahon got? Batista again?
They've put all of their nostalgia eggs in the Attitude Era basket, and it's a mixed metaphor well that's very close to running dry. That is the problem with nostalgia.
In terms of building up new guys, yeah, we've got the New Day, Kevin Owens, Kalisto etc - but do they actually feel special, do they feel like "stars"? Or do they feel more like guys who are or will be members of the WWE midcard Nobody Gets Over Club? With the exception of Ambrose and Reigns (who their attempts to make the star are doing more harm than good to), they haven't made any stars, they've just built up a hell of a supporting cast.
And sooner or later, the Attitude Era's dwindling relics will be too banged up, or too sick of answering Vince's call every February, and then what happens? There wasn't a single guy on the active roster that could conceivably step up to being a viable, marquee challenger for The Undertaker...so they had to call in Shane McMahon. Shane getting a bigger pop than anyone on the current roster isn't a validation of this angle, I'd argue that it's highlighting the underlying problem with it.

Yeah I respect Shane for "putting his body on the line" in pretty insane way. What he did to himself again Kurt Angle was borderline psychotic.
But there are actual wrestlers who work their asses off night in and night out who deserve Shane's spot. The guy has to wrestle with a baseball jersey for god's sake.
He can be a great performer but he is actually quite limited and overpowered (sorry redditt) and it drives me nuts that he gets to ever go toe-to-toe with actual wrestlers. At least when Vince does it he uses his money to cheat and gets his ass kicked the rest of the time.
Shane gets to do flying elbows off fucking titan trons and gets to be the crazy guy.
IN SAYING THAT, he can be very loveable and it was nice seeing him come out to that pop. But I hope amongst hope that they find a more suitable "WWE SUPERSTAR" to represent Shane vs the Undertaker.

The point of the storyline is Shane ISNT a superstar, and has no chance against Taker. You can't tell the same story with a guy on the current roster against Taker. Unless it was someone like Zack Ryder or Hornswaggle. But they wouldn't add value to the match like Shane does.
It always amazes me how people can take a segment as cool as that and pick it apart. The crowd literally list their minds when he came out.

Shane vs the UnderTaker is dumb. Taker is a face, but we should boo Taker because we want the authority gone from Raw. But everyone likes/respects taker so they won't boo him.

I had just watched the main event this morning and saw that gif on SC.
The difference between what blood looks like when someone really gets busted open vs blading vs last night makes last night look so fake that hopefully either they go no blood policy again or allow blading. The fake blood makes it look stupid.

They should either blade or not, fake blood is dumb. The kids watching watching at home will believe it is real, so why not just have him blade.
Sponsors will think it is fine because it is fake? Is fake blood still PG?

Granted, that pic of him backstage with the "dyed red hand" was a bit "fishy"....

Wait, Taker is from Texas, they are going to boo Shane.

only it doesn't at all (on both counts). Do you think they used ketchup or something? That if it was indeed fake blood that it'd be anything but "professional quality"? Nobody would have batted an eyelid or said anything along those lines if the footage of Byron handing something to Roman hadn't surfaced and the reaction at the time proves that. Roman looked fucked up, whether he gigged or whether it was fake blood, the work worked.

WWE is pushing PG, how much blood is in PG programming? I don't remember seeing blood in the Xmen or Spider man cartoons. Never saw blood on power rangers.

If Reigns got away with using the blood pack then great. No story. But he didn't and this doesn't help his image of endearing himself to the "smart fans".

If a new camera angle of the Taker/Mankind HIAC match came out the next day where you could see that he was being lowered by wires and the whole thing was gimmicked, he would have lost much of the respect he gained the previous night.

Yeha, them getting caught is a bit of gaff but it's a MEH problem. Least of their worries.

Was wondering why the blood looked a little odd but either way if the idea was to make fans side with Reigns, it backfired big time.
The fans want him to be the silent badass type and not another Cena or half-assed mesh of past top stars. Within a month or two, the WWE managed to get rid of all the good will the crowd gave from his big beatings to Vince and Triple H.

This is perfect. I had a ray of hope when he tore up Vince and HHH, his character seemed to "come alive". Aannnnnnn then..... poof.
On that note, wtf happened with the Wyatts too? Booked like fucking beasts @ RR and haven't done shite since, nothing of importance.

Well yeah, but with that specific crowd he could have bladed his testicles off and the reaction would have been the same.
Not sure if that part would be PG mind you.

I think the concept of slicing your forehead with a razor so it pours blood is freaking disgusting and I have no problem with using fake blood,,,
Steve Corino "bladed" all the time and look at his forehead,,,

I don't think there should have been blood (Fake or not) in that segment since they are PG.

Tell me about it. It's disgusting. I mean what has Bray got going into WM? Maybe a feud with Ryback? gtfo with that.
Been making Stroman look weak too. They lose matches he is in, win when he sits outside. Maybe Vinces hard on for the guy cooled off. Still see him winning the Andre battle royale though.
Harper and Rowan should be in the tag title scene. Does anyone else remember their feud with the Usos and how that was probably the greatest tag team feud WWE has put on in years?
