A physical WWE Hall Of Fame is to open in Orlando, Florida before WrestleMania 33, AM2 news is exclusively reporting. The specialist attractions website reveals that the Hall Of Fame will be replacing 'NBC City' at Universal City Walk, which is the entryway into the Universal Studios theme park. The WWE attraction is set to include a restaurant, museum, and the Hall Of Fame. As you’d expect, wrestling memorabilia will be on display alongside profiles of WWE’s inducted Hall Of Famers.

Fans and officials had been keen on a physical Hall Of Fame for some time. The choice of location, so near to NXT and the Performance Center, is indicative of Florida becoming more and more WWE’s second home.

If I go to the RASSLIN Mania I'll be the only person from tpww traveling north to get to Orlando. That's gotta be worth super amounts of rep.

Yeah I remember reading that the funds had been diverted to the startup of the performance center.

The location would be to replace NBA City, the same location reported on more than a year ago in the Observer, also from sources at the park. It will be at the Universal City Walk, adjacent to the theme park.

It's said that the restaurant will be similar to "The World" -- the WWE's failed attempt at a Times Square restaurant years ago that was closed after bleeding tens of millions of dollars. The new place will feature a merchandise store and screens that would constantly air WWE action.

Think the biggest problem with WWE's World restaurant was more about the location being really expensive for the company. Shouldn't be as bad of a problem in Florida especially with more WWE-related stuff nearby.

Did they really lose tens of millions on that NY restaurant?

I remember one episode of Heat that had Kaientai running around WWF New York fighting ninjas and it was the best episode of Heat ever.

Yeup, mix between really high rental costs because of how expensive Times Square is and the food not being that great.

Wasn't the only big thing the WWE lost millions on since the XFL happened around the same time.

I always thought the idea/concept of WWF New York was really cool as a bar/restaurant that would always have WWE content on and the merch store, etc. I always got the impression though that the food/service wasn't that great though. Just kinda had that vibe.

I have no doubt the location costs were really expensive for WWF New York. Hopefully this new venue in Florida will work out.

Apparently the location being teased or reported was never the actual location for the Hall and the WWE might still be undecided on where to have the building located.

One of the ongoing rumors in the theme park community has been that the former site of a NBA-themed restaurant at Universal Studios Orlando's Citiwalk would be housing a physical WWE Hall of Fame and restaurant. Last week, in response to the rumors, we noted here on the site that despite reports, there had been no actual movement in that regard.

Today, it was announced that a "Toothsome Chocolate Factory" restaurant would be taking over that building. So, no WWE Hall of Fame there, folks.

WWE's long-term plan is to still have a physical Hall of Fame building/attraction, but there's been no publicly announced timetable as to when that could be.
