So, for this week's podcast we're doing a show based off the old Room 101 television show, where we're looking for you to submit one nomination for a wrestler or wrestling personality from any point in time that you wish to be banished to oblivion for good, the figurative "Room 101", and more importantly, why?

You can be as flexible with the nomination as you like - it can be a certain period of a wrestler's career (American Bad Ass Undertaker, for example), or if you really dislike someone's body of work you can just toss their entire career in there. You can be obscure as you like in who you choose, it really comes down to the person (wrestler or personality) that grinds your gears the most, and your explanation will be key in whether or not the panel agrees on the show to banish your suggestion to Room 101.

As always, the best nominations will be read and you'll be credited accordingly. So who has always annoyed you personally enough to go into Room 101 and why?

EDIT - Our Room 101 (Wrestlers and Personalities) show, featuring many of your contributions is now online and available to listen to at the following link: http://squaredcirclegazette.podbean.com/mf/play/mgz6ui/SCG_Radio_76_-_Room_101_Wrestlers_and_Personalities.mp3

What is Room 101? Detention? Dean Douglass and Matt Striker should go to detention.

It's oblivion, purgatory, the vault that holds everything never to be seen again.

Stephanie McMahon post Smackdown GM run. I can't think of anything after that where she just doesnt use "the pen" to put herself over.

It's a shame we're sticking just to wrestling personalities, because I really want to be put "automatic rematch clauses" straight in there.

Saving stuff like that for later installments, just figure do people first and break it into categories.

Goldust getting eletrocuted by Evolution and as a result developing Tourette's. I"m all for comedy in wrestling, but this gimmick is not funny, has never been funny and never will be funny.

He's shown when he's not horribly over produced that he's pretty awesome on commentary. They've made my favourite wrestler of all time unlistenable.

Stephanie for sure, absolute heat sink of a character.

Cartoon Villain Vince McMahon/The McMahon Family.

Now hear me out. I am thoroughly entertained by Vince McMahon as a performer. From McMahon Strut to the throaty yelling to the facial expressions. He is awesome.

But... Vince was at his best in 1998 before he went full on cartoon villain, when it was more subtle. He transformed into the over the top character rather naturally and it seemed to work. But never was he more effective than when he came across as an actual boss, with subtly heel tendencies vs the megalomaniacal borderline incestuous sociopath who became a walking cliche; more catchphrase than man.

The issue is, because of the sheer magnitude of his character, he is a heat magnet and he tends to outshine (personality wise) 95% of the locker room because it's his company and he has free reign. Cartoon Villain Vince is the reason Shane and Stephanie have been able to castrate the roster for years on end. The problem is, they aren't wrestlers and there's only so far you can go.... but they are fucking massive marks for themselves, and they choose to go that far, and further and further... and here we are, 2 decades later, in some endless loop of despair.

Maybe it's the purist in me, but borderline snuffing out your daughter in a wrestling match, berating your zombified wife and having a street fight with your own son is really not that great t.v. Some of it was fun, but much like the metamorphosis of the Vince McMahon character, it goes from giving us a fun little taste to over the top fucking idiotic nonsense, overshadowing the true workhorses breaking their back for your company.

Greg Gagne and Erik Watts were the blue prints for the family blinders, but the McMahons take the cake.

Yeah I have a soft spot for Shane but how the hell is this dumpy little twat going toe to toe with Randy Orton. Why is a guy who has to wear a baggy baseball jersey to the ring allowed to do crazier spots than Rob Van Dam and the Hardyz?

Sure, Stephanie has moments and she is a dedicated performer, but her voice is nails on a chalkboard, and most of her segments go nowhere and have since 2001.

And Vince McMahon's magnitude is matched by very few, but after the 8th time you show your bare ass on television in some odd attempts to garner ratings, it means you have run your course.

When it comes to big picture and the growth of your product, leave the tv time to the workers and let them garner heat, and once and for all, finally fuck off.

Shane and Steph are amazing. Steph has been the best heel in the company for 3 years.

I don't think I've ever disliked a Shane McMahon match. I just watched the SNME match with HBK again. So good!

How about just Austin's entire heel run.

In fact, and I have to swallow pretty hard to say it, how about Austin just never returns to in-ring performance after his neck injury. I really think he did more harm than good to the business and himself after his return. I don't know if rebooking is permitted here, but I think it would have been best for all concerned if his "ride off into the sunset" match with the Rock had been at Wrestlemania 17 instead of 19.

Rikishi it seems like. His run would have been fine if he just stayed babyface after X7.
