Come the fuck on.
Wrestlemania's ending was underwhelming but it was a decent matcheck with simplistic if imperfect booking.
Starrcade's ending was a complete disaster that ruined months of brilliant build by pissing all over the man who should have come out of the show as the man who slew the ultimate bad guy and made a mockery out of an incoming potential megastar, all for the sake of a has-been's ego.

Wm 27 had an all time bad undercard though

Starrcade 97. The build was so good and Sting didn't come in ring shape or any shape except round. Screwy finish was a result of Sting not being ready for a match like 15 months in the making or ever since 1994 if you factor in the Hogan taking Sting's spot originally.

I notice Damo is super critical of people's physical shape when in the pictures I have seen of him, he is not exactly Muscles Mcgee.

Both guys who were supposed to win did win, both in crap matches. At least Hogan-Sting had heat.

Ending of Starcade 27 was worse. Did more damage to WCW than Mania 27 did for the WWE.
Even though Mania 27 had a pretty weak ending, it did set up the better Rock-Cena main event a year later while Starcade 98 had another horrible ending with Nash-Goldberg.

Sting was supposed to go over CLEAN. The heat burned everybody around. Bret looked like a damn idiot for restarting a match Hogan had won clean cause Nick Patrick fucked up.

I agree, I just notice that you are PARTICULARLY critical, making me think it has more to do with you than it does with the wrestlers.
I hope you are not that critical of "regular" people because that would be kind of mean and look bad on you.

Starcade without question. 18 month build up to be thrown away by a normal speed "fast" count. From the sounds of it egos got in the way however one ego didn't seem to guve a shit. Sting should have piped up and said fuck it and put up a fight to go over clean.

I think Sting had some personal stuff going on (from what I've heard in interviews) and probably didn't give a shit.

From watching Into The Light it seemed like Sting couldn't care less about fighting for his way.

lol tho to add some context I posted a video of "woman" who used to accompany Tully Blanchard to the ring and I was like "I think she was hot" and Damo pos repped me but said "SHE FAT" lol I was admittedly taken aback and am probably taking it out on him here.

Considering that most people point to Starrcade 1997 as the beginning of the end for WCW, a full 13 months before the Finger Poke of Doom that also gets pointed to as the "beginning of the end", it's gotta be Starrcade.

Starrcade by a long shot. Wrestlemania 27 wasn't even bad in my opinion.

Starrcade 97 not only did it prove to the world that Hogan is a bitch... over a year build we get a match where Hogan dominated the entire match... got a fast count that wasn't fast.. Used Bret Hart purely to feed off the Montreal incident. The day WCW lost the war in my opinion
