You can't see the movie trainwreck or watch his matches with CM Punk and not be a John Cena fan.

I was down on John Cena before it was cool. Now I'm on the guy's boat. His work last year was so absolutely refreshing, and it was cool in the way that Hiroshi Tanahashi's Intercontinental Title reign was cool. I really want to see Cena vs. Joe at SummerSlam this year, Cena to win the 2017 Royal Rumble and then face Brock at WrestleMania. :y:

Something Kevin Sullivan once said on his podcast with MSL struck me and never left. Well, I can't actually remember who he was talking to. I think it may have been Vince, Sr., but it also could have been Eddie Graham or someone. But Sullivan was talking about how he went out there and did a great job, got some great heat or something, and when he spoke to the promoter/booker about it, they said something like "Great job, kid. In about ten years you'll be able to start making some real money."
At the time Sullivan was like "Wha?", and he said it took him a while to understand what they meant. I know the business has changed, but when you think about it, we saw Cena really mature in front of our eyes. He started training around 1999. By the time 2005 rolled around, he had only been in the business for six years or so. Then he was in the top spot. The guy is now a seventeen-year veteran. His confidence in front of crowds, knowing his way around the ring, knowing what will and won't work in certain situations, etc. All these skills have gotten better. Plus you see his mainstream star rising with things like his Trainwreck part, American Grit and even the American Idol finale.
I honestly believe John Cena is ready to start making money, which is a scary thought. Especially if he can accept his body can't handle full-time anymore, and he becomes more of a special deal any time he does something. Plus, with young, hungry guys chomping at the bit -- the possibility of a John Cena heel turn is more likely than it was a few years ago. I don't know if they will do it, or even if they should -- but they COULD do it now they need to depend on other guys full-time and moreso than ever, Cena has his foot in other doors.
I'm really optimistic about John Cena's future in professional wrestling.

I think CM Punk is Cena's best feud other than The Rock and Edge.

When all is said and he'll done he'll be a bigger and more important star than Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Steve Austin because of everything above. That's hard to deny.
