I know that Roman isn't a fantastc champion but the idea that Owens would be better has to be a sign of brain damage.

Well at least the crowd would react appropriately and boo a heel as opposed to boo a face.

Owens would be a better champion though. At least people would hate him because he wants them to. Not saying Owens should be champion now but guaranteed its more entertaining than Roman when he does.

Reigns played his role perfectly in that match. It was fantastic. If they keep him like that, we are all in for a treat. Excellent match.

The only thing I wish was that he subtley cheated in the finish. Not in a heel way but in a desperation anyone woulda done it way. Just to create more depth and wrinkles to his character.

Usos hitting AJ during a huge scuffle and then Reigns "taking advantage" with a spear.
That actually would have worked better if they were looking for an excuse for a rematch.
As it stands, cool. He beat Reigns twice via countout and DQ. I still don't get why AJ Styles is getting multiple title shots in main events on WWE pay-per-views. It's pretty laughable. Like I've said before, it feels like a mid-card story being told in the main event.

I'm guessing you are not a huge fan of styles, but I'm assuming the swagger he brings with him, along with crowd response and his reputation around the world plus the 0s on his paycheck are influences. Now why he'd go from jobbing to Jericho to main event is quite odd.

I am a fan of Styles, but seems like his talent level is "on par" with a guy like Neville, and the only difference is that Styles got the full force of the booking team behind him...

Pretty much that. Not just his talent level but his credibility within WWE. If he came in as this huge international superstar and dominated for a couple months, MAYBE I could get on board. But no. He's still just the face of TNA and has done nothing in WWE to make himself a star yet. It's very odd that he's main eventing WWE PPVs. It kinda makes WWE feel more like TNA. Very "minor".

I am all for him main eventing, even with what I said.... Just "bitter" that they can't book more people as well.... Neville came to my mind because when AJ debuted, he kind of took a backseat and it felt like AJ kind of "took his spot" fighting midcard jobbers for a bit, but with an actual push and momentum behind him instead of just "hey look at this guy, he's here"

AJ has paid his dues and is getting amazing reactions, and this is after jobbing to Jericho at mania. I don't think you're giving Mr. Styles enough credit for really bringing it with his performances as a veteran of 2 decades, performing all over the world.

Also, isn't Neville injured? If AJ keeps putting out main event bangers, it could bode well for guys like Neville, KO, Zayn, and Balor in the future, much like Daniel Bryan's effect on all of them being there in the first place.

Neville will never become a star. He may be the dullest wrestler WWE currently has. Hell, even Miz couldn't get a decent promo out of him.

AJ isn't exactly gangbusters on the mic but he's better than Neville plus he has about 100000000x more natural charisma and main event swag than Neville. The fans definitely accept him as a main eventer (at least those in stadium). Whereas while the fans like Neville a lot because of his great move set, he isn't believable in that role as of yet.

His performances have nothing to do with it. He hasn't been built up within the "WWE universe" to be anything more than any of the mess of midcard guys. I gave him credit when he was main eventing in TNA. He's still kinda the same guy though.

AJ also drew in Japan. I don't think Neville can sell out Ryogoku. AJ is also a 20 year vet and can lead a lot of guys through matches who need help.
It might have been "putting the cart before the horse" but if AJ performs like he did in that match he'll soon be accepted as a Main Event calibre talent in WWE, if he isn't already.
